A friend close to her pointed out that Sandhya was super-excited about working with Shreyas as she loved his work in Iqbal.
On the the other hand the actress is also doing Tanveer Khan's Deadline with her best friend Konkona Sen.
Interestingly they both were thrilled to know that they would be working with each other, but soon had to come to terms with the fact that they didn't have a single scene together.

The actress said that she received a call from the CID team and liked the role offered.
"Plus, I have a lot of respect for Satamji and I wanted to work with him. He is an awesome actor."
