Though it's still a week to go before Valentine's Day, Manasi Joshi Roy has already received her gift from hubby Rohit Roy.

"Yes, I have a new car. It's a silver Ford Fiesta, and I'm quite thrilled about it," she says happily.

Manasi says the car is convenient to move around in, especially for shopping, and even on long, intercity drives.

"While Rohit has his limited edition Grand Cherokee, I am happy with my modest Fiesta." Does Manasi drive? "Of course I do, but I prefer having a driver, so I don't have to worry about anything."

In fact, Mansasi's most romantic memory is attached to her old car. "It was in the early days, when Rohit and I had just started dating. He took me out to Madh for an early evening dinner, and on the way, we had a flat tyre. It was my father's car, and there was a spare tyre, but Rohit didn't know how to change the tyre. We had to get a mechanic."

Do you like watching car chases in movies?

Yes, why not, if they are interesting, fun and thrilling. I like watching American reality shows, like the World's Weirdest Car Chases. It's good fun.

Would you rather be chasing, or be chased in a car?
I would rather be chased.

Shah Rukh Khan.

Would you rather be driven or drive yourself?
Oh I would love to be driven, always.

Can you change a flat tyre?
No I can't – sad, but true!

Have you ever washed your own car?
If I was living in the US, I would, but definitely not here.

Would you rather drive in the city or on the highway?
The highway, for the scenic beauty and the speed. The city is always crowded.

With whom have you gone for your most memorable long drive?
With my husband, on our first date to Madh Island. It was amazingly romantic, and I can never forget that night.

What's your dream car?
There's this car I saw in the US, like a convertible. It has an amazing sunroof that retracts.

Do you understand things like mileage and performance?
Yes, I do. I know the basics and keep a tab on things, like the car's average. That way, I am quite well informed.

What's your driving style?
I prefer being driven, but when I am behind the wheel, I like to go easy on the road.

Are you a patient driver, or do you cuss?
I have cussed and gotten angry in the past. But I usually have my window up, so it's no use abusing. But people bug me when they don't follow basic traffic rules.

What is the best place in Mumbai for a drive?
I like the Marine Drive stretch. It's lovely to drive there.

Have you ever slept in a car?
Not all night, but I used to take long naps in my car during my shoots. I would crash and rest before I went back home to spend time with my daughter.

If I was living in the US, I would, but definitely not here.

wat does dis mean??? who washes car ovr here??? we take it 2 a car wash... 😆
