Soha is extremely talented – Rakeysh Mehr

We all know that the gorgeous Soha Ali Khan is an emerging actress with a great potential who is destined to make a place for her self in the long run. The few directors who have worked with her so far do have a good word for her, but no one can better define Soha's acting prowess more than RANG DE BASANTI director, Rakeysh Mehra. Mehra admits to being absolutely impressed with the petite actress from the day he screen-tested her for the role. "Her name came up among the many actresses who were being considered for the role and I said, why not. When she indeed came in front of the camera it took me merely 30 seconds to take the decision that she was my Sonia in the film," Mehra recalls

In the film, Soha plays the role of Sonia, a die-hard optimist, who is engaged to a pilot Ajay Rathod (Madhavan) and feels passionately about issues relating to youth. Mehra feels that Soha is an extremely talented, natural and effortless performer, who has a talent waiting to explode on screen. "I couldn't have been luckier. I would describe her as the enchanting actress in the film. I am looking forward to doing more films with her in the future," he says."
