Rajpal Yadav seems to have become a hot favorite in the Ram Gopal Varma camp, with the rate at which Ramu is signing him for all his projects. After recently signing him to play the role of Bhopali, the role immortalized by yesteryear comedian Jagdeep in Ramesh Sippy's SHOLAY, Yadav has been confirmed for Ram Gopal Varma's next production, GO. "It is a very interesting comedy track that runs throughout the film," Yadav reveals. The role that he is eagerly looking forward to is the main lead in a forthcoming Varma production, which is likely to be directed by Varma himself. "I cannot divulge details of the film yet but I am eagerly looking forward to it. Ramu loves to experiment with all his characters and it is always a unique experience working with him," he reveals.
He has however given up the idea of doing item numbers after Varma last dropped the item number picturized on him in 'D'. "It is not as if I have taken the decision due to the number being dropped from 'D'. I received several offers for doing item numbers subsequently but I refused all of them because I feel they don't make sense unless they are woven into a story line and form part of the character," Yadav reveals.
Currently, Yadav is looking forward to his forthcoming releases, MALAMAAL WEEKLY and CHUPKE CHUPKE, both directed by Priyadarshan. "I have a hilarious comedy track in both the films," he says.
