Yes he is repetitive and his roles are not very good, but if these are the movies the majority wants then why would you not give it to them? Its smart isnt it? Do a role that requires no effort, memorize some hack script, have some macho lines and fight sequences and then make a blockbuster. Salman probably sleeps through the shooting of his own films, it requires almost no work to make one.

Salman has been on repetition mode for most of his career, perhaps barring the early 90s.

Yeah all his roles look like carbon copies of each other to me..looks like he sleepwalks through all of them..but audience loves it and until they do, he'll continue being repetitive. The day the audience gets sick of his roles like they did with Akshay, he'll have to find another formula..

see im not such of a salman khan fan...i didnt enjoy dabang or whatever i saw of ready. i hope this one is nice evryone is saying its a love story. salman found a formula that works for him...its pretty much they same thing in every movie...macho guy, beat up bad guys, girl to save and a dance move ppl will remember. its his formula dat has been working for him and until the audience gets bored he wont change it n why shud he. its making money. and actresses dont care...they are getting to be in a blockbuster movie without doing any hardwork lol.
i guess its a case of if you dont like it dont watch it. i can watch no entry everyday and not get bored but i fall asleep every time i see dabang. salman is getting hit movies in his career after a long time so he shud ride this wave as long as he can.

I love the fact that he carries the whole movie on he's shoulder and you even forget about who the lead actress was...lol Dabangg was a one man band show, he danced, he made jokes, he did action scenes and looked good and that's for all he's movie. It's entertainment.

I won't be watching ek tha tiger though because kat and him don't make a good pairing. I think they should chosen other lead actress

Actually Katrina was chosen before Salman :) Kat was chosen with NY was done :D

Salman is obviously doing something right, Wanted, Dabaang, Ready and now Bodyguard are all huge hits at the box office. Its true that in Wanted and Dabaang the actresses didn't have much to do, but even Katrina has done roles like this and those films went on to be hits. Sometimes that is the way it is. It is too early to judge how Ek Tha Tiger will do at the box office

well,as long as it works for him and the majority of the audience,i dunt see any reason to complain...

Hes at the best phase of his career now,all by doing the so called "meaningless" roles and films...

They why the heck would he NEED to do anything else??

Like masand said in his review,

"Salman Khan's fans will pay money to watch a three-hour home video of the actor taking a nap"

the dude is set for life...

Yesh, he is repetitive. But he is giving his audience what he wants which works really well for him right now. This will continue until everyone is sick and tired of it. Every dog has his days. He is in the best phase of his career right now...even if the roles/movies are meaningless.

The ppl with this opinion are a very small percentage. The box office figures of crores of people say the opposite which is - they are loving these movies.
We can have as many debates as we want but at the end of the day the cold & hard truth is that the only thing that matters in movie business is MONEY which these movies are raking in.

you spoke my mind. Thank god or I would have wrote an essay. I can't put my thoughts together in short.

Yes at the end of the day...what matters is boxoffice. And salman is saving bollywood from going downhill in terms of bringing in the money. And the only similar things in Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard is the action...but each and one of those movies had different stories and masla in them. WHen sallu tries to do something different like Veer or MAMK or even Tere Naam or Kyun Ki...they are not as hits as Dabangg...so why should he do movies that aren't gonna do so well.

Yes he is being repetitive. All the movies mentioned (Dabaang, Ready, Wanted and Bodygaurd) have more similarities than differences. If this trend is working then good for him.
I have not seen Salman experimenting that much...may be couple of movies in his entire career is different. Earlier it was this sweet lover boy image now it's an action hero.
