Early this week we reported how a fake First Look of Ranbir Kapoor's ROCKSTAR has been leaked on internet. While the makers of the film promptly denied releasing any promotional material whatsoever yet, there is more turbulence in B-town. As has turned out, after Ranbir Kapoor it is time for
Akshay Kumar to face the same question as a fake poster of
ROWDY RATHORE is finding good visibility on internet.
"This one seems like a much better job done though when compared to the design of ROCKSTAR," says a publicity designer, "In fact it is difficult to say whether this is indeed fake or perhaps actually a real First Look since it seems to have got a few things right. First and foremost the trail of blood on the ground as imaginative, unlike the case with ROCKSTAR which just showed Ranbir holding a guitar. Moreover the credit details around producers, director etc. are also embossed well into the poster. It would well be a teaser of sorts."
Even as truth behind this First Look was being awaited, the poster has spread over internet, especially on blogs and fan sites. While reactions are pouring in for Akshay's change in choice of films, especially since he has mainly done comedies and family entertainers during last three-four years, there are some out there who have welcomed the shift in genres.
CHECK OUT: Akshay Kumar now on Whosay"However the blood laden shoes give an impression of an extremely violent saga, something that isn't supposed to be the genre of ROWDY RATHORE. This is a Prabhu Deva film, not a Ram Gopal Varma product that deals with gangsters and cops. I strongly suspect that this poster has anything to do with ROWDY RATHORE," says a film enthusiast.
On contacted, film's co-producers UTV confirmed that the poster is indeed a fake. Will that stop mischief mongers from spreading lies? Well, one hopes so.
