And maybe the public didn't like a few of Ranbir's movies, but the critics have loved all of them .. For example Rocket Singh was a really good movie according to the critics..
Also I don't think we can forget that many people went to watch Delhi Belly for Aamir, and not exactly Imran..

Ahh okay got it..
But IMO at the end of the day, if a film made enough money to be called a hit, then I think it should be called one..all this oh its only a multiplex hit or only a single screen hit kinda takes away from how well the film did.

EDIT: I think what Kiran means is that people were more excited for Delhi Belly because it was an Aamir Khan productions film and not because Imran was in it.

Hmm I remember WUS being called a semi-hit but maybe it was a clean hit? IHLS was definitely a big hit because I remember reading a LOT of articles about how Imran and Sonam FINALLY delivered a hit. 😆 It's another story that the movie was rubbish.

Well he was the producer but you could see Aamir everywhere promoting it as if it was his own movie ... & He had a song in it and die-hard fans like me often go to a movie just to see even e glimpse of their favourite.

Ranbir has a huge fan following, Imran still has yet to prove that! And I have always enjoyed Ranbir's movies, even his ones that did not do so well. Imran was so boring in Delhi Belly, couldn't even finish that damn movie!

I have never said that, APKGK was not only his movie so credit goes to both Katrina and him.. but with Wake up Sid, he is the only one whom has got a star power in the movie and he WAS the main star so the credit should go to him only. And with Imran it's completely different, Aamir doesn't produce movies that often and whenever he does, its mostly a really different and good movie so most of the people went for "a movie produced by him" not for Imran 😛

Well being called an Aamir Khan film certainly helped Delhi Belly. People were interested more because Aamir's name was associated with it. BUT that doesn't mean people only went to watch because of Aamir. Youth loved the songs and trailers and I'm sure Imran was a reason to watch the movie for people also. Imran benefited quite a bit from DB and it is another hit for him. Tbh I thought it was his best perfromance till date.

I don't think Ranbir deserves all the credit for his movies.

Let me clarify more about DB: there's a certain amount of faith people now have in an Aamir Khan production/film. In the last 5-6 years, pretty much all of Aamir's films have worked barring Dhobi Ghat..and all have them have generally been considered to be good films worth a watch. Many people expected the same from a DB because they haven't really been disappointed with an Aamir Khan film in the last 5-6 years. So being backed by Aamir Khan helped DB.
