It's not actually pathetic Desu. See, in India, the reservation issue is very sensitive and you know there have been riots cause because of it. Esp. when back in 90's riots broke out, some people died because of this reservation thing. Arakshan movie has a lot of sensitive issues. It wouldn't be a surprise if riots broke out again in India because of the movie.

My views on this movie and reservation is not what I stated above. Thats a different thing. What I am telling is what CAN happen because of the issue of reservation and this movie if it releases.

Andhra Pradesh too bans 'Aarakshan', temporarily
11 Aug 2011, 2001 hrs IST, AGENCIES
Ahead of the release of Prakash Jha's controversial film 'Aarakshan', the Andhra Pradesh Government today (Aug 11) temporarily banned its screening in the state.

The Government in its order said that the film may hurt the sentiments of weaker sections. The film has attracted opposition for its alleged anti-reservation stance.

Uttar Pradesh and Punjab have already banned the film, which is slated to hit theatres tomorrow (Aug 12).

"In view of the representations received in the matter, as the exhibition of the film is likely to hurt the feelings of weaker sections, lead to protests and agitations, leading to breach of the peace and tranquillity in the State, it is hereby decided to suspend the exhibition of the Hindi film Aarakshan initially for a period of one week, or till a final decision is taken on the report of the Committee constituted for the purpose, whichever is earlier," the order said.

The decision of a temporary ban was taken after the Government received a representation from Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Kulala Shamikshama Sangam, Hyderabad, and Andhra Pradesh Ambedkar Yujuna Sangam, seeking suspension of the exhibition of the film.

The Government had earlier asked the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations, to examine the matter and submit a report. Today's order was issued based on the report.

The Government has constituted a committee which would watch the film and make a report at the earliest.

They have I think and the govt. has also got comments on the film. The govt. doesn't need to wait till the film's release to view it I believe.
