When it comes to Salman...to me, Tere Naam is the only "experimental" movie. And that too the second half of the movie, you could say. Actually, or maybe Yuvvraaj?...Idk. The only problem i have with his career is that when something works he sticks with it and then that slowly fades out and that's no bueno. He needs to experiment more.

Yeah i think so too. Lol.
He is like the perfect example of sticking with one thing and then going down hill. It was always "that's what the audience want" type of thing and then one movie after another on and on and it faded. I actually liked him in Tasveer 8 x 10 and Patiala House.

@liverach..i agree, Yuvraaj did belong to Anil. But the movie was pure torture.

The one who push their boundaries: Aamir definitely... Ajay too... And from the newer ones Abhay and Ranbir...

SRK does try but his efforts are never rewarded..Majority of his fans enjoy him in his Raj/Rajul roles so he has kind of resigned attempting different genres..though Ra 1 is challenging according to him but as a fan it doesnt excite me..Nowhere near to a 'CDI' or 'Swades'

agree with most people here. salman & srk don't push boundaries that much. srk tried a few times and i think he was major successful (chak de and swades and his -ve roles although I consider those his forte- darr, anjaam, don etc). salman is salman. aamir has always been ahead when it comes to pushing it further. saif too. ajay tries to do all kinds but still is stuck in certain roles. of the actresses PC leads. then Bebo but she is reluctant now but if she wants she can. rani also i think.

new lot def try harder. ranbir, imran, shahid, abhay, deepika, sonam etc. i thinkt these guys try to do different things. i hope to see more hatke stuff from them in the future along with the usual dance&prance (hits they need!). but ranbir leads the pack right now- he has done it all. will see how anushka, sonakshi & ranveer do.

nah he tends to play larger than life characters most of the time- superhero, kings, super handsome cool guy...he tries (Guzaarish e.g.) but not best example. He needs to do more down to earth roles...his looks pose a problem (too greek goddish to look down to earth LOL) but he can do them by changing his looks- less muscles, not much styling etc. that would be pushing his own boundary- out of his comfort zone.
