I'm willing to bet all the top actors and actresses watch Bollywood movies just so they know who and what their competition is. If they don't, then how will they be able to choose the right kind of films that fit what the audiences like (since the audience drives demand)? They probably just say they don't so that they can look more confident than their peers
I also can't stand it when they say that they don't watch their own movies. That right there says that they honestly don't care about their craft or that they're too full of themselves to question their skills on the big screen...I'd rather take an actor who takes the time to actually view these movies since you know that this person is really taking the time to understand the industry
