Salman has done some serious roles and his acting chops were praised.

reposting : Tere Naam (was so sad but brillant acting), Kyun Ki(brillant), Hum dil chuke sanam (Salman moved you and the ending the heart break you could see it in his eyes and image his emotions), Phir Milenge (social awareness he was guest star but his role was moving), Garv (action movie but the expressions etc moving), Hum aap ke kaun , Saajan, Wanted, Debangg(yes an entertainer but chulbul made you believe in him). last but not least Main pyar Kiya hai I am, picking some movies that were critically praised There probably more. 😊

His entertainers, partner, ready, etc he made the movie

Can Hrithik do comedy? doing comedy or entertainers is not easy either.

An actor as to win an audience.

Also, salman as said he wants to entertain now, not do charity movies he rather help with a social cause then preach it.

I didn't find good acting in any of the movies you mentioned. Infact in Hum Dil de chukey sanam. he completely failed to move the audience with his below par acting. AJay Devgun was much better. Yah I agree he is an entertainer but the topic is all about acting. The truth is he is a below par actor.
