There might be other reason than patchup... Salim has always appreciated Farhaan's work... Her fight with Javed has not caused any problem between families...

Farhan is close 2 Arbaaz, Sohail n Alvira also... so all these reasons...

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a fun ride

Three school buddies embark on a road trip through Spain, and find their lives change for ever

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Who's in it? Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin

The plot Three school buddies embark on a road trip through Spain, and find their lives change for ever. As Kabir (Abhay) gears up to marry his girlfriend of six months Natasha (Katrina), he coaxes and cajoles his friends Imraan (Farhan) and Arjun (Hrithik) to join him on an adventurous bachelor party/road trip. This is a journey they had planned to take four years ago, where each one is allowed one adventure of his choice, with the other two joining him, whether they want to or not! It's a trip that helps them iron out their differences, face their fears, alter their perceptions, explore the unexpected and it teaches them to live life to the fullest.

What we liked Apart from the obvious eye candy we are completely floored by director Zoya Aktar's impeccable craftsmanship, and her imaginative narrative, making every shot such sheer bliss. All three hunks are exceptionally brilliant, but Abhay ends up the "cherry on the top". And this, to date, can be pegged as Katrina's most substantial performance, even holding up to the talented Kalki, and that's a feat in itself, considering she only had her stunning looks and "Sheila" moves to her credit so far!

What we didn't like The overbearing resemblance to Dil Chahta Hai; surely Zoya is capable of churning out original content on her own?

e+ says Go on, embark on this fun life-altering ride, and we guarantee that you won't regret it, just like we didn't.

Our rating 4/5 http://gulfnews.com/arts-entertainment/ ... e-1.837530

From hrithikforum special review
Just my thoughts...all scattered...

I had absolutely no idea of what to expect from ZNMD- knew the basic plot of the story but that does not give out anything and I believe its worked best for me. I'd request everyone to keep away from the story of the film in reviews, watch the movie and experience it for what it is.

The first time I had seen LBC, I was a little underwhelmed- it took me repeated viewings to understand the entire film and realize how brilliant it was. What remained with me though was the performance put in by every actor. Ever since ZNMD was announced I've been very excited- one because Zafar to me was one of the toughest characters Hrithik has played...a short by a very powerful role and just the thought of what a director with who he gave such a fab performance in a 20 minute role could do with him in a full fledged film was enough to give me goosebumps. The 2nd being that I am a die hard Abhay Deol fan (After Hrithik and Aamir ) , if there was one actor apart from Aamir that I would LOVE to see Hrithik work with it has to be Abhay. And the third is zoya herself...she is a director par excellence.

I remember last week one of the members on FB had posted a question asking who do you think will be the hero of the film- and my response was the story/script. To me the simple story of the film was the hero followed by the performances by the main leads. ZNMD has bits that most of us face on a daily basis, issues we know and and we avoid because they are rather easy to ignore than confront.

I'm going to jump directly to what worked for me...some repeated from my previous posts.

1- The chemistry between the boys was fabulous, of course we've seen it in the promos and the promotional tours that they get along well but it translates so beautifully on screen. They laugh at the most stupid jokes. they fight like crazy, deliberately do things to annoy the other, while one is matured the other is simply so immature that he can piss your off...it's so real...it's how most of us are..they have issues with each other that they have kept to themselves for long and just in a moment of anger let it out...there were so many instances when I was looking at my best friend and we would burst out laughing because we've done exact the same thing...I had tears in my eyes a lot of times too, esp for Arjun and Imran's characters when they confront their problems.

2- Katrina's chemistry with the boys- firstly I am no Kat fan, this is only her 2nd film that I've seen...I personally thought she was really cute in the film...there was something about the way she played her role...very innocent yet would mention something that would leave them all thinking esp Arjun. I loved the way she made him realize that postponing your life to earn money is not worth it. There are bits when I felt she could have been a LOT better but no complaints otherwise and she gelled well not only with Hrithik but Farhan and Abhay too and her interaction with them as 'friends' was really sweet. As a couple Hrithik-Katrina make a visually stunning pair, they are supercute in a few scenes but the focus is more on their friendship and not a love story (Thank God)...would like to see them in a film again.

3- The music of the film- I loved the music album but the BG score in the film is something else...and I REALLY REALLY wish they had kept all the poems that Imran recites for the characters in the CD. The poems have such a deep meaning (Needless to say that actually, its Javed Akhtar come on!)

4- The silence between the characters- I truly believe that between the closest friends the silences work louder than words and I saw between the characters. They instantly notice the change in kabir's behaviour, the tears in Arjun's eyes, they understand when he's troubled but does not say it, they feel Imran's pain and allow him the space to deal with his problems. The way their friendship has been portrayed is very touching

5- Cinematography: Anyone is going to fall in love with spain after this, ANYONE. Special mention to the sports sequences, khwabon ke, the one scene I want to mention but would spoilt it for all so just going to say- after imran confronts his problem...the one scene between the guys that left me speechless.

6- Songs: Suraj Ki Bahon mein was adorable Each one of them and for the Hrithik- Katrina fans...you will LOVE them in the song...such cute scenes with the 2 and Abhay being kabab mein haddi. Ik Junoon is pretty much what we've seen on TV...Senorita...of course...the boys just enjoy themselves here and Abhay you cutie...u can't dance Rest is mostly in the BG.

This is what I can think of till now and then the acting...to me each one of them was special, of course people may have their own favourites but as of now I am finding it difficult to choose between the guys. I loved Farhan because he was SO mad- the little things he does to make the situation light every time...whether its a face expression, the worst of jokes that you could think of or the 'bagwanti' sequences (Bet very few people have noticed Bagwanti in the pics ) are bound to put a smile on your face...he's extremely lovable as Imran. Abhay is a fine actor so no two ways about his performance...Kabir is the most balanced of the 3 and Abhay strikes the right cords...being cute when he has to be, serious when required and absolutely adorable otherwise...the fun parts are the way he keeps scolding Imran and how Arjun's philosophies bug him...also his bits with Kalki...so cheesy...typical couples

Arjun my bowy Of course he deserves a special mention because he is special. The change in his character from the extremely serious 'all I want is money' to actually understanding that there is more to life than money, to realize what he misses the most in his life is his friends, that he's craving to be loved and to love someone with all his heart. My heart broke for him...I cried the first time they showed tears in his eyes...the restlessness he feels when he can't express his love because he's shut that side of himself completely, the pain he feels when he sees Imran hurt or Kabir upset...the way his eyes light up when he sees laila. Sigh Mr Roshan...not only are you gorgeous to look at but an I bow down to your excellence in your craft.

Katrina: As mentioned before she was a good surprise.

Kalki: She can shine even in a 10 minute role, although she wasn't in the movie for just 10 minutes...a lot longer but she was funny...the manner in which she keeps taunting Imran and I was in splits at the rock girl song sequence... Please someone pair her with Hrithik soon.

ariadna cabrol: She had the shortest role and didnt really have much to do...

Supporting cast is good...the sports sequence make you want to do them and for someome like me who loves water...after seeing them dive all I can think about is going back to diving. Sigh!!!
