But that is a nasty comment to make, really. People considered inter-racial marriage a result of a mental disorder too. Do we think the same now? I would hope not. People need to get out of their little prejudiced bubble and widen their horizon. To disagree is one thing, to call it a disease is something else. This coming from a health minister is even more alarming, I would expect it from a religious nut, but not the "health minister".

Same here. Issue w/ bestiality and pedophilia - but I do perceive other sexuality perspectives as "acceptable" as long as it's between consenting & responsible adults.
Calling it a disease as making it sound like a scientific statement is totally inacurrate, unless the analogy refers to how it is becoming common and better tolerated by people. But I do understand that there are many persons which reject homosexuality as a "normal" sexuality. It has to do w/ culture, personal beliefs or religious faith.
What the minister says shows crude ignorance and poor PR skills.
