I don't like Kareena as an actress, so I don't really care. She's overrated, period. And woah, who said JWM was a good performance, leave alone great? 🤔 Her character was cliched in every sense of the word, and her screechy performance didn't make it any better. Shahid was way better. It's just that we always tend to notice the loud and in-your-face character more than the silent, restrained one.

Like I always say, the only film I liked her in was Omkara. That was the one and only film in her entire body of work in which she played the part well.

Am i the only one who didnt find Fashion to be groundbreaking or that impressive? Priyanka's role in fashion quite frankly could have been done by quite a few other actresses. I'm not saying she didn't do it well, but just because the theme of the movie is dark and hardhitting doesn't mean the performance is automatically good. Priyanka was way better in Kaminey than in Fashion.

But on topic, I don't think these awards are rigged. I'm sure in certain circumstances favouritism exists, but more often than not those who deserved it have gotten the awards. There are exceptions though: I didn't think Saif deserved an award for his role on Hum Tum. Does anyone remember who he was up against?

Kareena is a good actress, i don't believe she's reached her peak yet, and perhaps in her lifetime she will eventually earn the award, but for now Chameli and JWM is not enough.

kareena is a good actress. bas. hence she is stuck with filmfare awards. JWM was good.. not worthy of an NA... she needs to mature as an actress... she is still superficial in the roles she picks.. good acting without any BANG or the extra zing... chameli was good as kareena was still a rookie, but a tabu, even raveena would have done a better job...

bottom line, she doesnt deserve NA for ANY movies thus far and by the way she picked her future roles, NA is a distant dream.

actually not her, the whole gen of these actresses is itself disappointing, loud dialogues, heavy makeup, skinshow, swimsuits, bikinis, kissing and getting intimate...DUNNO WHEN that day shall come when they actually start PERFORMING 🤔

I think its also important to mention that maybe a lot of our actresses do have some form of hidden talent, but the right films have to be produced with the right scripts for this to happen. Maybe when people stop making tees maar khans and housefulls, more roles will emerge for actresses to expiriment with.

With that said, i'm sure such scripts exist, good ones that require more than one-dimensional acting chops, it is also the responsibility of actresses and actors to seek these out and promote them.

Honestly Geet is not the benchmark for good/NA worthy performances. And I definitely DON'T think Kareena is the only one who could've pulled it off. Preity, Juhi could've in a heartbeat and maybe even done it better.
