Saif, Abhay to star in zombie comedies

The fascination of Indian audiences with the supernatural will now be extended to zombies, as two zom-coms — the Saif Ali Khan-produced Go Goa Gone and the Abhay Deol-starrer Shaadi of the Dead - are set to go on floor at the same time.

src="http://www.hindustantimes.com/images/HTEditImages/Images/saif-ali-khan-storypage.jpg" align=right>Shor in the City co-directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.'s Go Goa Gone is about a bunch of youngsters who get assailed by zombies in Goa, while Manorama 6 Feet Under director Navdeep Singh's Shaadi... is about an attack by zombies while a Punjabi wedding is on. Both the projects are a lighter take on the cult of zombies. Interestingly, both the projects want to get on with their respective zombie films on the floor soon.

While Kunal Khemu, who plays the lead in Go Goa Gone isn't aware about the other project, Shaadi... producer Sid Jain says he knows about the other film. "More films will help widen the genre, so I'm happy someone else is attempting a zombie film. But I plan to make a series of zombie flicks. Abhay Deol!! Woot Woot!

Both titles crack me up. . . Go Goa Gone and Shaadi of the Dead! 😆 And also Honeymoon of the Dead!.

It's nice that they are trying to expand the genre.
It's good that they are trying something new. I just hope it works and it doesn't turn out to be some poor attempt aka fail. It'll suck if they don't pull it off.
