A swarming crowd of awaiting fans, A brimming room full of waiting press - the IIFA madness had come to Brampton on Friday night.
Expressing their desire to bring about something extra special for IIFA and a sense of overwhelming accomplishment, Manj and Nindy Kaur of RDB who call Brampton home and share a close connection with the city, introduced the panel of star performers for IIFA Buzz Brampton's festivities including the city's trump card and special hostess, Bipasha Basu along with headliners
local Boys II men - Lomaticc, Sunny Brown, Parichay and Baba Kahn of Culture Shock.
"IIFA is one of the biggest functions the Indian film industry puts together. I believe coming to Canada is a big step forward," said Bipasha.
Feeling a sense of warmth from the welcoming and support she's received thus far since touching down Bipasha spoke highly of Brampton's own RDB, their recent musical accomplishments and including the inimitable mark they've made in Bollywood.
Complementing Bipasha's down to the earth nature, Nindy Kaur stated there was no one better to represent Brampton than the sexy siren.
Being political correct and diplomatic, the actress wittily dodged picking favorites amongst IIFA nominated Best Films and Best Actor nominees in spite of being repeatedly prodded about it.
"My favorite actor is Amitabh Bachchan and I like Shahrukh Khan and I like Aamir Khan and I like Ranbir. I can go on and on," laughed Bipasha.
The visit marks Bipasha's first time in Brampton and the actress will be a part of Brampton's Flower Parade and will be seen on a float at 2p.m while also making an appearance on the Main Stage at 4:15p.m on June 18, Saturday.
Towards the later part of the evening Bipasha was presented an honorary plaque by the Mayor of Brampton, Susan Fennell to commemorate her B'buzz involvement.
