I started drinking at the age of 22, and guess what I never ever drove or drive under the influence of alcohol.

For many people consuming alcohol is a part of their lifestyle.

Smoking is different to drinking. When you smoke you are harming other people around you, whereas drinking in safe measures is fine for most.

So why should Aamir or any one burn in hell? If you feel strongly about it support the law, dont have to wish for someone to burn in hell.

Serious over-reaction.

over reaction because he's using this for his own gain. I dont think you ever follow his strategies. he supported the farmers back when mangel pandey and rang de basanti was coming out. I know my opinion on him and he will surely burn in hell. 😛

The point of a free country is to be able to do most things with reasonable limits. A 25 year old age ban on drinking is ridiculous, especially when 21 is the legal marriage age and 18 is the age to vote.

You can't force someone to not drink by placing a rigid law over them, especially when being 25 is defined as an adult in all parts of the world.
And if people think he should be fighting for bigger causes, then jesus christ the police in our country and our justice system should be making LAWS about better things, not pathetic drinking bans. 21 is reasonable but 25? Comeone.
He's not doing anything wrong, and if his stance gains popularity he'll be a figure for the youth. If its going to add publicity to Delhi Belly, then awesome. Even better. You hyping your movie up and bringing up a fair point at the same time.
Go Imran Go.

but why use the political platform to gain publicity for a film. I don't support the age limit to be 25. but I don't want someone to use politics because this is an hot issue and it will gain publicity towards people who seem to agree with him.

^ i too am aware of aamir's ability to bend to the publics needs right when it alligns with his films, or general fame. But the question is who doesn't do this? Sure there are a handful of good guys out there, but arn't most politicians or even actors engaging in a good cause because the reward is double? Doing something good and also Raising up your name? Surely this is no reason to burn in hell. It would be different if he was doing something terrible, but he's generally rooting for something that needs rooting for and in the process he gets to hype up his 'good guy image'.

Just chill, Aamir is not even in the movie, Im pretty sure Imran is not stupid.

Why single out Aamir? Others do it too. Thats how these guys promote their movies.

But wishing them to burn in hell is extreme and Im pretty sure against the forum rules.

Sure there is a better way of expressing your point?

But don't you think this IS a hot topic in bollywood as well. We have girls and boys in the industry who are just crossing the 20-mark and their probably not too happy with this ban especially if their looking to live the lavish life. Like so, i think Imran has a pretty valid concern in this and i highly doubt this is 100% film publicity. But again. SO WHAT? what is actually the damage if his film gets popular in the process as well. Who is getting hurt here in him taking this issue up formally.

^ actually i think the world can't live with their rights being taken away from them especially when its concerning such a casual and normal part of their experience as an adult.
I'm not condoning excessive drinking or even saying 'woo hoo let everyone get drunk'. Everyone knows the dark side of alcohol and the terrible damage it can have on peoples lives, educating the youth and stricter laws on who can sell alcohol, and greater penalties for people who drink and drive should be our countries concern, not banning adults under the age of 25 from drinking. Not everyone is an alcoholic, laws shouldn't be made like this.
