No time for South: Asin

Kerala born Asin Thottumkal has no dates for south directors and their films. The actor, who has appeared in over 30 Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, has done fewer down south since her Bollywood debut in AR Murugadoss' Ghajini in 2008. Asin says, "Right now, I have not signed any south movie because Housefull 2 has taken up most of my dates and I couldn't accommodate anything else." But the actor maintains that she hasn't prioritised one film industry over the other. She says, "I have no strategy to concentrate on any one language."

Asin The actor, however, admits to having a busy schedule for the next two months. First, she will be shooting for Sajid Khan's Housefull 2, where she is paired with Akshay Kumar and later she is slated to romance Shah Rukh Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj's cinematic interpretation of Chetan Bhagat's book, 2 States: The Story of my Marriage.

For Housefull 2, Asin has been working out to get a toned body. She says, "Sajid is very particular about his actor's looks in his films. He wanted me to be more toned because I will be wearing western clothes in the film." She adds that when one is paired with the fitness conscious Akshay, one better look fit and toned.

Looking forward to working with Khiladi Kumar, Asin says, "I have heard Akshay is extremely professional and punctual. The fact that he starts early and packs up by evening is wonderful as I too am used to that style of shooting." She adds, "I have heard that he is a prankster and am looking forward to have fun on the sets." Asin is also upbeat about working with Sajid Khan, who she feels has a "weird and wacky" sense of humour. Besides Asin and Akshay, the cast of Housefull 2 includes Rishi Kapoor, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandes.

While the actor doesn't shy away from any questions regarding her films, she refuses to give away anything on her personal life. She says, "There is no one in my life right now. I have to find the right man to be hitched and I don't see it happening anytime soon since I am concentrating on my career."

Asin has always maintained she will do a south movie of she likes the role offered to her. . I jus cant understand why people are interested in her carrier moves. . Even in bolly, she rejected karthick calling karthick, khelein hum jee jaan sey, katta meeta, de dana dan and many other bolly movies. . Then y these, reporters are always telling she is prefering Bollywood over Tamil movies. . Grow up reporters. . Publish some logical articles. . With housefull 2 and 2 states lined up how she can sign tamil movies. . EVen her south fans like me are happy with it. .I just dont know what bothers them. . .

Its not that she said bye to south films. . These Asin haters r just creating such nonsense image on Asin. .

After the debacle of London Dreams in which most of her scenes were chopped off, Asin rejected several Bollywood movies including Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan opposite Akshay Kumar, Delhi-6 opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar's Kartik Calling Kartik and Ashutosh Gowariker's period flick Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey opposite Abhishek Bachchan and decided to be part of Tamil movie Kaavalan.

I included this in Wiki for clearing such people who thinks Asin is not doing any tamil movies to be part of Hindi films. . This is ridiculous. . Asin always has her way of doing movies. . Even before her entry to bollywood she was very choosy about her south projects which has made her the big star all across India. .

So she will be back doing south projects if there's something exciting for her. . Thats what she has told time and again. .

And her record is sooo clean with just 3 failure movies in all languages. . Most of her movies in south as well as in north are blockbusters and the remaining are super hits. . She is an amazing actress to have on board for any kind of movies. .
