5. Kajol: Don't get shocked to see her name here. I know she has been doing films, but it has been very sporadic and we want to see much more of this terrific actress on screen. She took a hiatus after getting married to Ajay Devgan and made her big comeback in 2005 with Fanaa. The film was a huge hit and it restated one fact that Kajol was truly missed by the 70mm screen and her fans. She is probably the only actress who gets to play very strong female characters in commercial films. She went on to do other films like U,me aur Hum, My Name Is Khan and We Are Family. Now, she has taken a sabbatical again to take care of her son, Yug. Kajol, don't make us fans wait for too long. Come back soon.
My Wish: Try and look out apart from Dharma. No doubt Karan Johar gives you strong roles, but try and explore different Directors and Production Houses please.
4. Madhuri Dixit: After getting married and shifting to the US, Madhuri made a very unsuccessful comeback to Bollywood in the form of the rather forgettable 'Aaja Nachle'. The role was not meant for her. For an actress who ruled Bollywood throughout her career needs better and meatier roles. Hope to see her more often on screen than seeing her as a judge on a random Reality Show. We miss Madhuri from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun , Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Devdas.
Our hearts are waiting to go Dhak Dhak again.
My Wish: Stay away from Aaja Nachle types. You deserve much better. Another Devdas, may be?
3. Sridevi: It's been ages since we saw this Diva light up the screen with her dazzling looks and brilliant acting talent. One of the most versatile actresses ever, Sridevi has displayed a wide range of performances throughout her career. Films like Chandni, Sadma, Lamhe, Chalbaaz and Mr. India, are testimony to the fact that she is such a great talent. But we Sridevi fans have a reason to rejoice as she has started shooting for her comeback film titled 'English Vinglish' which is being directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R. Balki (Director of Cheeni Kum, Paa)
My Wish: For now I'm happy to see her make a comeback. But, I want to see her recreate the "kaante nahi kat te, ye din ye raat" magic once again, if possible.
2. Juhi Chawla: Probably one of the most under rated actress ever, Juhi Chawla never got her due in this industry. Probably, they dint take her so seriously because she was deemed fit to do girl next door kinda chirpy roles. Her performances in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Darr, etc are still afresh in our hearts. She is being doing work in between but most of them have been low budgeted Non commercial films, though her performance in Onir's I AM was widely appreciated with her winning a lot of awards at International Awards.
My Wish: Anything, but with a big Production House and a great Director who can actually tap this amazing actress' talent to the optimum. May be a Mature Love Story with complex characters with Aamir Khan?
1. Karisma Kapoor: This current generation is missing out on a lot of good actresses and one of them is Karisma. I've grown up watching Karisma's films. She has such amazing screen presence that you just don't look at anyone else but her. She churned hits after hits with Govinda in the 90s and was a darling of the masses. I remember, David Dhawan saying in an interview, that his films with Karisma and Govinda were two hero films because Karisma's presence on screen is no less than an actor. From her acting talent to her impeccable dancing skills, she was a complete package.
What do you think of the Post and which actress are you dying to watch on screen again??
