Now, I'm living in US where everything is cheap and easy to get, however, I dont think ill ever forget the experience of having a black and white TV for the first time! I still remember watching sunil shetty's "Bhai" first time on a big white screen. 😆

My parents resisted buying a TV for sometime but then all us kids would be perpetually plonked on the neighbour's couch which I guess was a pain for them and a source of embarrasment to my parents so they finally bought the first set ... ah good ol days!! :)

hahaha I remember watching "Shaktimaan" at my neighbours place in India too. My parents were also embarrassed by us going to our neighbours to watch TV. eventually, they bought one which was black and white. But we still went to the neighbours because they had a color tv. 😆

day 15 - a film that describes you : 3 Idiots

Even though I was not an Engineering student in India, I have faced similar kind of situations here in Canada. Dealing with parents who have high expectations, trying to finish a curriculum in less than 4 months of time or fighting for the same job with 100 candidates, as students it has become a part and parcel of our lives. 4 years ago when I started applying to universities I had only 2 choices: study life science or engineering. I was pushed towards either becoming a doctor or an engineer (following on my dad's footsteps) from an early age. Up until this year my dad refused to see beyond the above mentioned career but thanks to my sister that has changed now since she refused to study anything but law😆.

Farhan's role in 3 idiots. I can clearly connect with Farhan's role in 3 idiots. I have similar issues and insecurities like him. Although I don't understand life science, I did it for my parents and then screwed it up big time. I don't have the guts to make my parents understand my true calling since I see them working so hard to fulfill our dreams. I think I am like farhan in the movie too. I am quite jovial with my friends yet I have my own insecurities and I do like sit alone and enjoy my private time. This scene is so poignant and emotional that I hope one day every child can talk to their parents about it..

16 - a film that you used to love but now dislike

When it first came out, I was totally in love with it and cried my eyes out at the climax scene. Now few years later, I cringed at kantaben jokes, shah and preity's emotional scenes and dialogues. Movie is full of cliches with overused emotional dramas. Only thing I like about the movie now is the title track and the heartbeat..😆

I have seen this name appear so many times in the forum that I surely have to catch it. I think I have seen it quite a while back but I don't really remember it clearly. Seems like a nice comedy movie...

day 18 - a film that you wish people would talk about

I adore this movie and have seen it countless times. I am mesmirized by surya and simran's act in it. Surya played both the dual role with such ease that you just have to admire his talents. I love the emotional crux of the film and the bond between the father and son is shown so beautifully. I also liked the parallel story of guy loosing into the drugs and how they overcame from this turmoil is so beautifully shown. The icing on the cake was the music of the film. Although I don't understand the language but it was quite soulful to listen. This is one of the best surya movie in recent times.

day 19 - a film of your favorite actress

Omkara has possibly all the actors I like watching on the screen except Bipasha but she was quite good in Beedi.
Kareena played the north indian girl to the T. Although there were hardly that many dialogues and screen time but she played Dolly mishra so beautifully. I love the calmness she brought into the movie. I personally love the final scene because it was such a intense scene and she played the innocent to the hilt. Loved it!
