day 24 - a film that makes you feel guilty

Guilt? Nah. But yes, some scenes do fill me with remorse. Sometimes how we forget to keep in touch with old friends over squabbles or just lack of time only to regret later. It hurts most when it's too late to make amends. True friendships are the ones that are formed in school with no intent. The bonds formed later are often influenced by one's social status and position.

Dil Chahta Hai: I will pick the one I mentioned here.

Day 12 - a film from a director you dislike

I don't really have any directors that i dislike but in the recent times i was disappointed with David Dhawan. He realeased Hook Ya Crook, Do Knot Disturb and Partner. Hated Hook ya crook and Do knot Disturb. But i did enjoy Partner.
So, from recent disappointments from David...Partner was the most decent one.

day25 : A movie from your childhood

Khuddar ( starring the one and only Amitabh Bachchan)
Imagine a sleepy little hill town, with no TV, no cinema halls, and only a dozen shops in the name of a market...imagine a bunch of kids visiting their granparents in their summer holidays...theres a lot of excitement during the day as the kids jump, run and play around...but things get quieter towards the evening when theres nothing much to do... imagine an evening when a good ol uncle comes and announces that theres going to be a film show in the neighbourhood...
this was me and my cousins years ago... after a hasty early supper we all carried our own chairs to a nearby park where a big white screen and a projecter had been put up...
But the excitement doesnt end here... just imagine a plot which is like the baap of all Bollywood plots...

That reminded me of the scene from Swades.
And Tanuja played evil SIL? I thought she always played nice bhabhi-ma roles.

I know what you mean exactly. sometimes, I feel like I'm in this networking thing at school just to get a job. I don't know If I've actually made friends or they will remain as network contacts. I feel super bad sometimes. Appntly, this is the only way to go. One of my close friend I made was in highschool. I've been in contact with her almost 2-3x a week and another friend, we're like family friends now. Friendship doesn't come easily. you have to gain trust, and also have to like the person the way they are without changing their habits or else they will feel attacked and usually run away. personal experience. last but not the least, I think most of the people I talk to everyday are network. who knows if they will actually be "true friends" one day. I do feel guilty about it.

Ashu, I grew up on a farm in India with only one person that had a TV in my town. everyone was crazy about it. soon enough, everyone popped up with TV's all over the place. Now, I'm living in US where everything is cheap and easy to get, however, I dont think ill ever forget the experience of having a black and white TV for the first time! I still remember watching sunil shetty's "Bhai" first time on a big white screen. 😆
