😃😃😃 Are there any stars in Bollywood that let their work speak for itself, minus controversies or personal life dramas we hear about? It is very hard not to read about our favorites and how juicy those stories can be! However, it is pretty obvious that the less controversial stars can walk away with the huge rewards in the long run! Look at Vidya Balan, Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Anushka Sharma, etc. and so many others who do not hog the spotlight. Whenever a movie comes out that has these stars, we always hear about their performance and nothing else! So, who lets their WORK speak for ITSELF?! Please share your thoughts!!! 👏👏👏

The first person that came to my mind was Aamir Khan. He speaks out about political issues and national issues but as a citizen that is his right. In terms of Bollywood "issues", I don't hear that much gossip about him.

do u think rajeev masand's gossip about ajay having multiple affairs is not publicity???

or anushka linked to ranbir is not going in her favour??

or vidya balan sucking Rani mukherjee's thumb was not a publicity stunt..

I loved Konkona Sen Sharma in Wake Up Sid! She was no natural and her performance was solid! I guess she won't be doing to many films now that she is married and happily settled! 😃

Pallo - I dont think Vidya has made her career depend on stunts like those. It didnt even become a controversy. She has independently accomplished whatever she has accomplished without having a superstar boyfriend or getting popular for link ups, break ups, controversies, cat fights etc etc.

I think all the points you brought up are very valid and there is room for a huge debate here! However, I don't hear about Vidya's lovelife or other controversies in her life! That Rani-Vidya kissing stunt was around when No One Killed Jessica released! Then, it went away and noone remembered it that much! When people think of Vidya Balan, the acting comes to the forefront. Same happens with Anuskha and Ajay. I don't really hear the media talking about them that much like Priyanka/Shahid, Aishu/Abhishek, and Saifeena! 😊

she always makes the headline with her choice of bold roles.. nothing against bhaiyon i like Vidya balan..😆

i think no one in bollywood can survive without controversies..

and Vidya had this big big big controversy down south when she was rejected of all movies she signed..

i have never heard anything about irffan khan.. but he also opts for bold roles.. tho he is a very talented actor..😳

Most non-mainstream artists have their work speak for them. They have no choice.. the media couldn't care less about their talent. Even Vidya is usually on the magazine covers when she is talking about Shahid or showing off her naked back. So, all the character artists like Nana, Naseeruddin, Vinay Pathak and others let their work speak for them. Mainstream actors need the publicity machine like they need their designer boots.
