^I hope so Hetal but even if they start doing sci-fi movies it will take long long long time before they get it right.

And in bollywood we lack creativity many of the directors just goes and copies other movies in stead of creating something new and in this way take a chance maybe the audience will actually like it, because I am sure everyone will get bored of movies when they get repeated.

But I am glad that finally small budget movies are getting appreciated and more directors now do small budget movies.

The problem with India's 'sci-fi' movies is that they try to squeeze in a love story that totally makes the plot go haywire...what should be really action-packed becomes a traditional film with a hero and heroine barely kissing in the fields

I enjoyed Bollywood movies when I was growing up...so much so that I NEVER watched a Hollywood movie. Hence I was always out of the loop with my friends...but for the past 3 years, Bollywood has tanked so bad that I see Hollywood movies all the time. Prime example: I just saw the Hangover 2 yesterday...it's hilarious if you enjoy its (really) crude humor😆

Like Eraser, the only thing that keeps me tied to this industry is the music, and that's because Bollywood mostly wants singers who can sing for all of their songs and composers that can at the minimum compose a good tune or something that's danceable😆

Generally - I've noticed whenever a BW is hyped - it's utter rubbish most of the time. I was highly disappointed by Kites, 7KM & Guzarrish...What the hell was that?

If only the ideas, scripts, and stories that i have in mind were ever taken to a director, and the casting that i thought of could ever be. But i agree that the typical bollywood movie is all about dancing, a nice story, and looking good, so i guess never.

Crytal very well said on your first post. I totally agree with everything you said. I also don't keep high expectations from bollywood films anymore. But once in a while, I do come across a film I like. From recent times I liked films like New York, Wanted, Kurbaan, and Once Upon A time in Mumbia...all these films are not classic or pathbreaking films, and yes they have many flaws some more than the other...but I enjoyed them. So I don't know about others, but am still not giving up on bollywood yet because there is gonna be one or two films that a person can enjoy. We can't expect every film to be good, even in hollywood only one or two films are good these days, most are crap. As much as I want to enjoy Just Go with it for Jennifer Anniston, that film was so medicore and crappy.

And yes I also watch hollywood more than bollywood currently. Before, I didn't even care about hollywood, but now I have no choice but to turn to hollywood for entertainment/well made films!

I think BW is becoming good with horror movies...like raaz - I think the second part with Kangana was good...

And police/thriller movies recently made like Gangster are good...

@bebo --- even HW movies are crappy too...I can't remember the last one I watched...oh yes the Woody Allen's with Freida --- it was quite good. Very interesting because it was simple and about crossed lives experiences...

I was bored with Inception - Avatar ...but I loved Marley & I - total sweetness...I was like another dog movie but it was very original...otherwise I like rom coms but not all the time once in a while...

I love BW because I love the music and they have a way to make look like life wonderful when mostly it's ugly & awful almost everywhere...

It's magic in a way...so no need too much brain even if some art movies or marginal directors/producers tend to experiment new ways of storytelling because everything has already been told..originality lies in the way things are shown & told...
