If Ajay didn't refused the role, it would've been Deepika-Ajay pairing, it would've been an interesting pairing. But I love Saif-Deepika pairing so I'm happy Saif is doing. And yes roles are destiny. One's trash is another's treasure

What matters most is that Saif and Deepika are the ones who've eventually done the roles and it will be their names appearing in the credits, not the first or eight choices'. 😃

Good to see some humility from Saifu... SRK has mentioned it a lot.. that a lot of actors rejected the roles that he ended up doing. like darr, baazigar... yes the saifu.. shahid.. kareena and kaminey did get ugly.. even tho he apologized for it later.. but the damage was done.

Basically, Saif and Kareena shouted from rooftops that they were offered Kaminey first and that Shahid-PC were using them for publicity. I remember Priyanka had said Kaminey has me, Shahid, and Vishal Bhardwaj behind it...it doesn't need Saif-Kareena's names for publicity 🤣

Eventually, Vishal came out and clarified that Saif was never offered Kaminey and he had discussed another film with Saif. To save face, Saif apologized for saying he was offered it..

Kaminey had a lot of controversies around it and things got pretty ugly..

Actually if I remember right, Saif said he did all the nautanki because he was insecure of Kaminey beating out LAK?

Find me one interview, and I'll give it to you.

Infact it was Vishal Bharadwaj who earlier had admitted that to look for hte part of Sweetie was challenging becuase they needed a young actor, and Kareena wasnt available.

I can look for that IV, but no surity if I'll find it.

^Hmm, I thought Kareena did say she was offered Sweetie but I'll admit a lot of the crazy drama going around then is hazy now so I could very well be wrong about that...

But she did say that Shahid-PC were using her name for publicity? Or was that just Saif?

Exact part Priyanka, he admits, was a shot in the dark. "The film was of a certain size and we needed a heroine of a certain feasibility, a certain stature.
