SRK does a good job at playing the loverboy, boy next door characters..I'd say he's definitely better than Salman and most of his contemporaries for that matter. Everyone may not agree, but I'm sure majority of bollywood viewers would think the same. His expressions have a lot to do with it I guess. I find SRK convincing as a romantic hero for the most part....With that said, every actor excels in one genre the most..for SRK, it's the romance genre.

salman used to be very convincing with his romantic roles like back in the 90s. then around 2000s he became more of an action/ comedy hero. srk always stick with romance roles and they suit him.

Cause Salman is known as the bad boy of the film industry, and Srk has done I think only romanitc if not 95 percent of the time. Salman has done romantic roles, but he's also done other types. And I think Salman's more in the news for his real life rather than his reel life.
