| Pretti Jaiin and Hyder Ali give the muhurat shot for Deepa Ki Tarannum | Croprepati bar dancer Tarannum has sent a notice to the producer of Deepa Ki Tarannum based on her life. There are also reports that's he is miffed with Pretti Jaiin who is playing her in the said film. Close proximity
According to a source, "Tarannum sent a fiery message to Jaiin, asking her why she was doing the film." The bar dancer and Jaiin had come close during their time in prison together. Pretti told Mid Day (December 12), "Tannu and I shared a blanket in jail and talked a lot with each other."
Tarannum did not expect that Pretti, whom she considered a friend, to project her life on celluloid. She felt offended that her former cell mate agreed to enact the role.
When contacted, Jaiin said, "I think Tarannum was simply taken aback, that's all. Actually, I had informed her when I got the offer (about doing a film based on her life) after I was released. But I didn't tell her on the day I signed it. The next day, when Mid Day wrote about it, we spoke on the phone and she asked me to read out the story." Patch-up attempt
According to sources, "Jaiin and Tarannum met because Tarannum was terribly upset. Jaiin tried to patch up. What transpired between the two of them, one does not know, but Tarannum is still not too happy about Jaiin doing a film based on her life."
Are relations between the two still the same? "We definitely developed some bonding when we were together (in jail)," Jaiin said, and added, "We still interact." SMS pals
What has the interaction been like? "We haven't personally met after we were released. But I have had some lovely SMS messages from her, and she too has some messages from me. Those messages are too personal; we can't reveal them," Jaiin replies.
On the subject of a fallout, she maintains "There is no problem between Tarannum and myself. People are unnecessarily talking; these are just rumours."
Jaiin says she has not done nothing wrong in accepting Deepa Ki Tarannum. "For me, it's just a professional decision. I am not scared of anybody, as I don't see that I have done anything wrong." Pretti's life filmed
Was Jaiin miffed too, when PRO Rajoo Kariya announced a film based on her case against Madhur Bhandarkar?
"No. I was not miffed," she shoots back, "In fact, Kariya called me and said his film was in no way connected to the happenings in my life, and he was pegging it using my name simply because he wanted to make his film garam. Thereafter, he again called and said I should file a case against him, as this would help his film get more publicity." Jail secrets?
Is Tarannum angry because Pretti may leak out things about her to filmmaker Ranjeet Sharma? Pretti says, "There is no question or requirement of my inputs. The film is not about Tarannum, it's simply inspired from Tarannum's life."
