Aamir Khan's Next With Rajkumar Hirani!

Finally the word is out. Aamir Khan has signed his next film and that too, with none other that his favourite director, Rajkumar Hirani. Aamir and Hirani had previously delivered the blockbuster hit, 3 Idiots.

Sources told Koimoi.com that Aamir, who is very choosy about picking his films, recently heard the story idea of the yet untitled project from Rajkumar Hirani and accepted to do the film almost immediately. Buzz is that this film, which will follow Aamir's film with Reema Kagti's, will be a mass entertainer on the line of '3 Idiots'.

Hirani had started writing this new project after his third Munnabhai project, Munnabhai Chale Amerika, was put on the back-burner, as, in Hirani's own words, "Its story had similarities with My Name Is Khan…" Since then, Hirani has been writing his next script, for which he has finally clinched a golden deal – a nod from Aamir Khan. Although the producer for the project has yet not been declared, in all probability, Rajkumar Hirani is expected to work with his old team.

It is interesting to note that Aamir is notorious for not repeating his directors twice. Obviously, Hirani's script must have something that forced Aamir to say yes. What can we say: we just hope the film goes on the floors soon.

yaar, all that is ok...but when will he talk about bombay velvet? that seems like a nice script. 😔
