SRIDEVI to make comeback in R Balki's next - Page 2

It was much-awaited by her fans. The diva is all set to make a comeback after 14 years. Sridevi will soon start shooting for the film English Vinglish to be directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R. Balki.

Since the plan of Mr.India 2 is put on hold, Sridevi took a step ahead and signed English Vinglish. There was a lot of buzz about her comeback film, however, a film with R. Balki was always on the cards, and rumours suggested that Sridevi will act opposite Amitabh Bachchan in it. The 47-year-old actress, who is a doting mother of two lovely girls, was always keen on acting but kept waiting for the right script.

While talking to a tabloid, Sridevi admits that it's the script of English Vinglish that made her take up the project. She has even started preparing for the role as the film will go on floors this June. Though Sridevi likes western clothes in real life, for the film she will be seen in a sari. As the wife of the renowned producer Boney Kapoor, the actress was never away from showbiz and was always praised for her fashion choices, and her fans always loved her stylish appearances.

Now her family, especially her daughters, are thrilled to see their mommy dearest returning on the big screen. For English Vinglish, Sridevi will work for the first time with a woman director. Last time when she shot for a film, it was Judaai, released in 1997. Sridevi's performance as an avaricious wife was well appreciated in the movie.
