I don't know anyone who considers Kajol an Intellectual, she brashly wears her Jhallapan on her sleeve, be it in interviews, movies, appearances or KWK. Her whole image is built around this in your face.. girl next door with devil-may-care attitude!! And she never pretends to be something that she is not... her and kareena are quite similar in that regard.. altho Kajol is even one step further at being what you see is what you get.. which is quite obvious from her dressing sense.. and her whole demeanor.. her uni-brow.. lol.. i think she has one of the most contrasting personalities amongst a lot of leading ladies of her time.. that is why i totally adore her...

world is not going to end on this a very small mistake. ( moon instead of heaven) grow up !!

I agree she missing the word its no big deal... its just some lyrics....

It happens all the time here in the forum....I do it ... everyone does it some time or the other....It happens on twitter... it happens on FB...

I am not not justifying it... i am just saying its a part and parcel of the field they are in ... Any statement... any goof up... any simple line ....any quote... is blown out of proportion and talked about....is ridiculed...is mocked

I am sure the celebs have learnt to ignore it and take it in a stride.....

I know ridicule is part of the package maddy. I have no problems. Surely being a fan of kareena, I'm used to it by now. But its the REASON of ridicule that struck me. Like I said in my first post, she's said some really stupid things in the past, but this was not one of em.

I guess those twitter ppl think they are smarter than her for calling her stupid for messing up a lyric. It makes them feel more intelligent to call someone else stupid! How many of u guys wanna bet half of those people who RT or even tweeted about this don't even know the song themselves 😆

I'm not even talking about innocent ridicule on forum. I'm talking like instant wide spread ridicule on twitter, even ppl who hadnt seen the episode were making it seem like she said "everyoen knows the world is flat" or something to that effect.

And Raja Sen also writing along similar lines really disturbed. I think...ok here's what it is.

I think some people THINK they're very clever and witty. And these people feel like they need to have an opinion on anything and everything. And most of these people seem to have this desperation to be affiliated with, or be aware of, everything Western. Think like the west, know American celebs, or ridicule someone who isnt polished in English. Now if kareena had messed up some classic Hindi song, or some information about the history of India, dude, that woudl be fair game to take shots at her. She studied in India, she should know basic Indian history. She's part of hindi cinema, she should know the legends.

But the fact that these select few desis were sitting on twitter with that opinionated attitude and thinking they're so witty making jokes like "Zero IQ I see. Stairway to the moon, what a bimbette" just struck out to me.

I dont know its hard to put it into words. Its not the fact that kareena was being ridiculed (because she asks for it quite often), or that it was taking place on twitter and so many were a part of it (that happens too), but the REASON that i wanted to bring to attention.

I know most people think I opened this thread coz kareena was on the receiving end, and they're right. I only know of this incident coz kareena was the target, but in all honest, had it been some other celeb, my opinion would remain the same. What's the big deal with goofup of an american song? The only reason I probably wouldnt open that thread would be coz I'm mostly just caught up with Kareena or Saif news, so I wouldnt even KNOW about it till someone else prolly pointed it out. My opinion wouldnt change.

What kinda pisses me off is how some people have reacted to this thread with assumptions already made. And I bet you if I hadnt opened this thread, their responses and tone woudl have been a lot more neutral.

That's what irks me about your post. Because if you only had something to say about the topic or celeb, hey, I am MORE than ok with it. Others did it as well, Maya and Prayga being a good example. But did they put down my thread or me in any way?

i actually really used to love your posts a while back. That's changed due to the suble tone you always have to infuse.

I agree with a point Desu was making,that they can find tons of reasons to pick on Kareena but this one is lame. I mean big deal, is she not cool just because she doesn't know the name of a Zeppelin song. She's Indian, no biggie.

So I didn't bother reading all 10 pages, just read the first page and the last.

I agree that it was no big deal on Kareena's part. I mean just yesterday Christina Agulara (however you spell her last name) messed up to the lyrics of the national anthem in the beginning of the superbowl. That was a big goof up and even today its hot topic and she's being criticized left and right.

Similary Kareena was criticized for messing up the name of the song, which really isn't that big of a deal. I think being a 5 time grammy award singer and messing up the national anthem is a whole lot bigger deal than being an bollywood actress and messing up the name of a western song.

BUT at the same time she is a celeb. And celebrities bring with them a lot of mockery and ridicule. Sure this will be talked about for some time, but then the world will move on to better gossip and forget about this. In all seriousness its no big deal and fans (not criticizing anyone) shouldn't take it so seriously.

I mean look at Rani. She's criticized left and right straight from her personal life to her career life. But she's brought herself into that world of fame, criticism, ridicule, and mockery. Similary Kareena has brought herself tot he same world.

If she didn't know the name of the song I kind of think it would have been better to not have said anything at all. Saif wasn't going to kill her for not getting 1 question right. Not every GF has to know every little detail about their partner.

So although it wasn't a big deal that she messed up the song name, I don't blame those that criticized her simply because this happens on a daily basis for celebrities. It's nothing new to be criticized over little small issues like this one! I'm 50/50 on this issue.
