Why was Dil se a flop? - Page 3

The movie BOMBED at the BO..it was more like a washout. No one really wanted to see what's happening in Kashmir nor how their people suffered and becomes terrorist. I loved the movie, i thought everyone acted so well. Srk Manisha scenes were so beautiful especially when she tells why and how she becomes a terrorist. And Srk tell her to forget what happened and start a new life. I read Mani Ratnam edited out MANY MANY important scenes because sensor wouldn't let release.

I hated it as a kid...didn't understand a thing! But now this is my all time favorite from Bollywood! Really a classic, and Manisha's acting was fabulous! Just flawless. And SRK was so different too! Preity made a very promising and interesting comeback.

I wished this film at least did well critically, but alas, even the critics (well, most of them) didn't like it all that much (minus the acting) because they felt the film was glorifying terrorism.

*scratches head* Dil Se and Kashmir????

I thought it was about ULFA(united liberation front of assam)


to answer the topic, it didnt have a happy ending... it was around the time that happy endng movies worked better

I don't think Srk was even nominated for the movie and he never came back to do similar roles to Dil Se, which is a shame!!

HE is capable to do SO MUCH MORE, but he won't do this kind of cinema.

SRK has the potential to do any kind of role, and Dil Se honestly proves that...yet he'll have a brainfart and choose a stupid, brainless film like lets say Rab Ne Banadi Jodi which only insults one's intelligence. ..


I love this scene, it's random nothing super significant in the film...but still like it. 😆

but, I liked the ending...I mean sure a lot of people probably went W*H? 😕 but, I would not have wanted a stupid boy meets girl, they live happily ever after ending to such a film...I liked it just the way it was. People need to be open minded while seeing films that are rather...different.

I liked their chemistry, nothing over to the top. very realistic. Srk needs to come back to his kind of cinema and do a movie with Manisha.

I loved the ending, it was realistic. Manisha character couldn't forgive or forget what it happened in her childhood and she wanted a revenge but at the same time she was in love with srk's character.
