THE 90'S WERE GREAT !!!
I MISS THEM...I probably sound old...but I only lived 8 years of my life in the 90's ... 5 of them when I didn't really watch Bollywood movies...
The actresses were concentrated on improving their acting abilities, and not about what they wore to whatever event, and their cat fights with other actresses...
I truley miss the Madhuri, Karishma, Raveena days....
They may not have been on Vogue for their great dressing sense, but you have to admit the 90's had something that makes us miss it like crazy !...I would do anything to have that back...

I miss the "Le Gayi Le Gayi" song from DTPH especially how SRK entered at the end
That was the first ever BW song that I saw in the first ever BW movie that I watched😆

People actually looked real back then instead of plastic😆

tell me abt it..was watching JDJ and they're having this Madhuri theme going on this week..kya mast songs hote the uss time mein..chane ke khet main...maain maain mundere pe tere..feeling super nostalgic.

But I think they did have cat-fights/affairs n all that...its just that media did not come across as very obsessed since they lacked the resources for "mass-communication" (literally) back then. For eg. we have the Internet, now, back then the only way to spread gossip was by word-of-mouth or some movie mag..now, if one word gets on the net..it travels globally.."mass-communication" in action 😆

Also, we were too young to care if they were improving their acting, at least I know I was clueless abt it...I was just happy with the fact that it all looked believable to me 😆

Yes, even I miss 'em but I really dunno how they'd work out now. Film makers just need to stay true to the times...like DCH was all hip n cool yet had a realistic touch without being overly western or exaggerated. On the other hand, Vivaah was like the 90's movies, which we seem to crave..but really, how unrealistic was that movie? & the one that came after..the one with Sonu Soon-Eesha Kophikar..gosh *cringefest*

I think the same mentality also applies to our parents...even as a kid in the 90's, I remember my mum comparing our awesomely colorful movies to her b/w slooooow movies and how fantastic they were as compared to ours. Back then, perhaps, the only 90's movie my mum appreciated was Rudali and trust me, u dont wanna watch it... 😆

I guess, its a vicious cycle 😉
