i never liked the movie i mean.. he was lonely and he met his friend and now wanted her..

Who looks for that much depth in Bollywood romances? Isn't it a known fact that they don't adhere to logic?

You know KKHH is one interesting story. What surprised me is that Rahul and Anjali didn't initially get married. Most of the times, a boy and a girl cannot be friends. Meaning that during one point in their friendship one of them has a feeling of love for the other. Therefore I was quite surprised that Anjali and Rahul didn't have any "love" feelings for each other before Tina came into the picture. Its hard being best friends with a guy (talking from experience). And in most cases friendship turns into love (pyar dosti hai) and then that turns into...well chaos let's just say. Rahul's main love interest was Tina. In her he saw a lot of qualities that made him fall for. I don't think Anjali initially had any strong feelings for Rahul. I think her feelings developed more after Rahul got closer to Tina. I felt that during the phase where Rahul moved closer to Tina, Anjali had started to realize her affection towards Rahul. However, by that time it was too late because Rahul was already in love with Tina. After Tina's death, Rahul became lonely. He still had his mother and daughter to be around with, but the emptiness of Tina had really impacted him. No, I do not believe that his feelings for Anjali were as strong as his feelings for Tina. But because the two (Anjali & Rahul) had been best friends for so long, somewhere in the journey he felt a little love for Anjali. And I think he truly only loved Tina (because of the dialogue portrayed in the movie). I think his marriage to Anjali was a combination of his daughter's efforts and the fact that he wanted his daughter to have a mother's blessing and not feel the emptiness of a mother. A mother daughter relationship is a very strong one. It is very hard for a girl to live without a mother. So I think all those emotions just built up and the girl's efforts brought Rahul and Anjali closer and that's where they began feeling the passion and love for each other. Anjali had always truly loved Rahul. But Rahul's first love had always remained Tina. In Anjali he found his Tina. And even though he loved Anjali, I don't think he loved her in the same exact way he loved Tina. But he saw a lot of resemblance in the two and therefore married Anjali to bring back the happiness of his daughter & himself.

I think that dialogue can be read as ironic - because in the film Rahul did fall in love with two different people at two different points of time.

I felt Rahul actually loved none truely.When he fell for Tina it was just a physical attraction which I think every guy has during college days.It was his boiling teenage hormones which made him propose Tina.Maybe after marriage he was emotionally attached to her as well that's why he remembered her even after her death.Now this is one thing which does not suit R's character.

Interesting topic, First and foremost i do believe in that quote for the individual that i m but yes of course, it depends on person to person

Coming to Rahul and anjali, they r one of my fav characters in all the hindi films

I think Rahul always loved anjali, its just that what we say "We don't value the one who is close to us" Rahul too anjali for granted, didn't see her love for him coz they were always like buddy buddy

so when Rahul saw tina, of course she was more attractive than anjali and boys in college, for them physical attraction do come 1st

and from what i remember "Rahul's quote" is post marriage, after he has lost his wife, he has become a father, more matured, then he finds anjali, the tru love whom he never took notice of

then they realise love for each other and get married

in between, i must say "I Love aman more than anyone else in the film" Sallu is so cute

ok, all i can say is that College romance was there in between rahul and tina, but Anjali was and always have been his true love

I feel that Rahul was actuallyattrcted to Anjali.It was some kind of lust.It would have been better if KJO showed Rahul's feelings for her more clearly.

I don't think Rahul lusted Anjali..honestly I think he always loved her deep inside because as he said pyaar dosti hai and his bestest friend was Anjali not Tina..or atleast that's what I thought the movie tried to show.
