IMO Multiple factors like she did not go with the sati savitri and I am all virginal image or she defied the bollywood norms or she did not suck up to the bollywood big wigs, or bad PR. Just could be any one of them or a combination of some of them...

Leave good movies in her kitty, she has not done enough movies to be successful, when she was unsuccessful initially. Simply she doesn't have the right approach and attitude towards her career. Others actors and actress who are not so successful but are in news and doing numerous movies b/c they have that approach towards the industry.

and I think she was awesome in MPKK... the rule required her to be OTT

and I mentioned the Miss Universe thing only to say that she is beautiful so u cant just say SHE FAILED CUZ SHE DOESNT HAVE THE LOOKS

I think everyone pretty much nailed it here. She is too tall and also looks older than most of the guys. She only looks good with SRK. Even with Sallu she looked odd to me. I mean even deepika and kat are tall but since they are young they can be paired opposite the likes of Ranbir and Imran. They can even be paired opposite the older actors like SRk and Salman and look good! Deepika in OSO. Plus like most ppl said she hasn't done the right kind of movies, she hasn't worked hard enough to reach the top. And also she doesn't seem to know/want to use her connections to get movies.

Bad professional and personal decisions. Her movie choices were surprisingly awful; it's no wonder they didn't work. In addition, I heard a lot of stories about her alcoholism and her numerous relationships. I can't imagine that all that helped her stay on track with her career. Either way, I was never a huge fan of her, personally or professionally. The only movie I liked her in was Filhaal.

Yeah she was good in Filhaal. I liked her in the film. Yeah i was never her fan either. See that's another factor too, she doesn't have that many fans because she doesn't do a lot of films and also films that the masses like.

PS I don't think she is a better actress than Aish. I think lara dutt is better actress than Sush. Dia Mirza might also be better than her.

I've always liked Sush. She's not just a pretty face, she is very articulate...can converse very well in BOTH Hindi and English and seems like an intelligent woman. Plus she's got this wonderful aura about her and seems so comfortable just being herself. And I have always thought that Sush is a talented actress but she has selected the wrong type of roles. She has tried her hand at different kind of roles but it has never really worked out. Trying to do different roles doesn't automatically mean that you have chosen a good role. Most of the films that I have seen her in are often half baked movies. Luck is also a factor and sadly it hasn't been shining on her filmi career. Having said that, she always seems happy and I doubt she cares a hoot about her film failures. She seems to be enjoying motherhood (with her adopted daughter) and I guess she's a free spirit...!
