Dharmendra and Bobby Deol
How did Some Place Else Happen?
That's a very interesting story. Bobby and Tanya love partying; they usually go all the way to Churchgate for khaana and naach gaana. I used to get worried whenever they came home late.

One day, I asked Bobby why he didn't choose some place else — something closer, in the suburbs. That did the trick, I guess.

So, who put it all together?
Sunil Hingorani, Amyn Merchant, Niranjan Thakur, Bobby and I got together and planned this place.

How would you describe Some Place Else?
I think it is the complete solution to Mumbai's party, celebration and dining woes.

What is your specific contribution?
I am very particular about the Punjabi cuisine, which we'll be offering.

Are you a foodie?
Once upon a time, I was. Lekin aaj kal nahin.

We hear you've given up drinking…
Yes. Drinks were telling on my health. Kuch apne door ho gaye the jab peeta tha, ab phir se paas aa gaye hain.

What's your favourite dish?
Love. Love khaata hoon, love peeta hoon, love baantta hoon.

How many films are you doing?
I am doing three films. Apne (with Sunny and Bobby), by Anil Sharma; Dharam Veer (with Sunny), produced by Padmalaya Films and directed by Yusuf Khan; and Johny Gadaar (with newcomers), produced by Jhamu Sugandh and directed by Ek Hasina Thi director, Sriram Raghavan, who I believe is one of the finest in the business.

Sometime back, you said you wanted to do as many films as Amitabh Bachchan is doing now?
I don't think I can do that much. But yes, I want to do about three films a year, for the next 10 years.

Will you drop in at Some Place Else often?
Of course, I'll be visiting the place. How often, I really don't know.
