having grown watching rajini movies, I can say that his movies crosses all boundaries.....his movies r not made for a particular genre ....

its for all ages, clean, entertainement, sincere, honest, it crosses economic status, general genre....complete entertainment.

His personal life and his simplicity in real life and his simple life makes him the superstar that he is. He has no airs abt him, he is what he is, he makes fun of himself, he acknowldeges the flaws he has, if his movie goes flop (which is very very rare) he gives everyone their money back, he has been in the industry for 35 yrs, people have seen him rise from a side actor to villain to hero to superstar status hence everyone in the family have been a part of his cinema life right from my grandmom, mom to me and maybe to my kids as well.

i get the KHANS having a huge fan following but RAJNI fans accept him as a demi-god !it's not wrong to say Rajni is the BIGGEST INDIAN star!

i would even go as far as saying as far as peak stardom goes,

Rajni > Big B!

at their prime they had the same craze but what gives superstar Rajni the edge that he has maintained that craze even at this age!

as far as what's the hype about him..

* Anjaana Anjaani has debuted at No. 15 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected 1,81,428 (approx. Rs. 1.28 crores) on 54 screens, with the per screen average working out to 3,360.

Due to his film Shivaji Three distributors got loss

Shivaji worldwide collection is aroung 140 crores

but Kamal Dasavatharam worldwide collection is around Rs.250 crores, this is the highest earner in the History of Tamil Cinema

In Tamilnadu after first three days Tickets are easily available for enthiran

Some movie complex reduce their screens from multiple to one due to less response

Enthiran might have made record collection in initial days but after that it would not be possible to sustain that.
