ranbir for sure will stay and also imran......from the actresses i'm not sure....kajol and ash after marriage have been around but 20 more years..am afraid not....may be in mother roles.cuz bollywood has no room for 50 year old leads esplly for female actresses.from the new actresses....am not sure..cuz none of them can really act.i wont be surprised if they make the most of it now and then give up everything and settle down.we'll have new females then i guess.

Aish has already signed woman-oriented films with Shyam Benegal and Vishal Bhadwarj! So, I think she wants to focus more on being a serious actress than a commercial heroine. Robot and Action Replay will probably be her last commercial films for a while. 🥱

Honestly, none of these actresses will still be here. They'll all be around 50-60ish....and, as sad as it sounds, Bollywood doesn't give much scope to women that age. Maybe they can do one or 2 art movies here and there....or play moms to the new lot of kids.

😭 Sad, but true.

I completely agree. None of the current actresses will be here in 20 years. And if they are, then most likely they'll just be plying moms like Jaya B and Kiron Kher.

I think SRK and Aamir are the only actors who I believe who would also working in this industry after 20 years or more.

Really sad, and one MAJOR reason that try though they might Bollywood will have a hard time getting a real foothold in the West.
I mean, if being Miss Something Or Other is your only real gift how long CAN you last? Talent will continue to carry you once your young face becomes older, but if talent is worthless in Bollywood and all that is valued in women is a young face the women are doomed and the female Indian movie going public surprises me by how they are willing to roll over and take it.
Honestly how many women are pitifully humble enough to feel ourselves such dogs and human detritus that we shouldn't even EXIST outside cooking or crying once we're no longer 18?
Miss Marple and her ilk are GREAT for women who may not be batting eyes at some dude in the first blush of love but are still wanting to have adventures and enjoy life!
My money is on SRK to try to change it. I suspect that even as we speak he's trying to think of ways to make adulthood marketable and he's not the sort to forget women.
He has a daughter whom he loves. Will he want her to be tossed out like trash once she's no longer some teen guy's wet dream? Hardly.
Man, I understand the concept of wanting to see "idealized" cinema but why would Indian women not want to see more of themselves "idealized"? That's one thing I never understood. Does everyone honestly just consider themselves dull as dog food once they are married and have a child? Even more to they point---does everyone simply ACCEPT that in their society they ARE considered so without a fight?😭
Sorry if this hijacked the thread but I've often wondered about this. When will Indian cinema become more aspirational for a larger number of people, particularly those who can no longer aspire to being 18 and falling in love for the first time anymore?
