Undoubtedly Aishwarya is the biggest name in Cinema today. As much as everyone dislikes her u catn deny the fact Ash will be remembered 10 years down the line. Yes shes not as popular as she is today but u can't compare her to Katrina Kaif. Kaif maybe popular today but that's due to her success at the box office. If Kat or Ash were the only leading protagonist in a film who do you think would justify the role and who would make money at the box office.

I disagree. Yes she will definitely be known cuz of her beauty but her performances are definitely more credited. Chokar Bali, Raincoat, HDDCS were classic performances.

Uh, could we get this discussion going again, I don't see the need to finger point at who started what.

@leo - I'm sure Aish will be remembered for a lot more than her looks. Like others have previously mentioned she does have some hits to her name in which she gave some incredible performances.

Chalo even the mod has said it now!! Aishwarya rai bachchan is the most brilliant actress to land in bollywood. And how forturnate are we to have her in our industry! This was an eye opener thread for me as I realized her mahaanta and acting ability which was unknown to me before some people ridiculed my opinion and had their pity party and like fest. Chalo now I KNOW!! Maybe I should forward this thread to everyone who doesn't watch her movies.. if there isn't any big name attached to it.. taht would be a lot of people.. but atleast they all will gain some unknown insight.

Aish is a great actress. I think its unfair to say the only the thing she has is her beauty. The only problem is that there are a lot more talented actress out there than her. She is def popular and big but she is not the biggest celeb either in acting or popularity.
