big deal. everyones entitled to their own opinions. i quite like katrina, and she did grow as an actress in this movie, but evidently the rest of the cast outshined her. Purely through skill.

'Raajneeti' is rock-steady!

RAAJNEETI had a rock-steady second weekend in the international markets as well. Now all eyes are on RAAVAN, which will have an extensive release in the international arena.

Hey Friends its the magic of Ash-ABhi again which Raavan has brought to us.Its a total hit movie and the what I liked more about the movie is Rehman's music.'Ranjh-Ranjha' and 'Beera' really rocked. It was awesome hearing sukhwinder in the song 'Beear'. Hey friends do watch the movie,a must watch movie.

Loved the movie!

The Mahabharata connection and a tight screenplay is what has made the movie engrossing and captivating....Despite having such a huge star cast, each one of them leave an impact on you and that credit should definitely go to the Director Mr.Jha....It was nice to watch a movie where the actors stayed within the characters and were not given any extra importance just because he or she is a so and so....

All in all a COMPLETE director's movie......FULL credit to Prakash K Jha!👏

Raajneeti Continues To Do Well

Raaajneeti continues to do well at the box office all over. The heavy fall for Raavan means that Raajneeti is doing rock steady business in the weekdays.

Raajneeti collected 97 lakhs nett on its third Friday and collections on its third Monday were 82 lakhs nett . A fall of just 15%. The business on Tuesday was 70 lakhs nett.

The business of Raajneeti after 19 days is 83.50 crore nett approx and the by the end of its third week it will be around the 85 crore nett mark. The film will have steady business in its fourth week as there is not much competition.

Raajneeti is looking to finish its nett business in the 90-92 crore region making it the third biggest nett grosser after Three Idiots and Ghajini.

Raajneeti My review

Finally watched Raajneeti and I would say it was good. I wouldn't call it the best movie I have seen or even the best in a while, but it was what it promised. It was pretty straightforward, to the point and did not beat around the bush. Although I was expecting the politics in the movie to be more fiesty or more technical, but the politics that was shown was dirty and physical. It was necessarily a game of cat and mouse and people in the movie won from each other not by mind games or cleverness, but by eliminating each other with murders. It was too bloody for my liking and with each character dieing one after the other the movie started making a lesser effect on me. I wish they could have shown cleaner politics with more mind games rather than the killing massacre that they showed in the movie. But, we have seen instances in real politics also where this has happened but i would say it didn't make that much of an appealing cinema. Good points of the movie were that it was fast, to the point and they kept it pretty real if you take out the many murders that is. Some of the politics shown in the movie was interesting like how Ajay's character gets into politics and how Manoj's character supports him and they form an alliance. Arjun's character was interesting in a sense that he created and stirred a lot of trouble and how Samar saves him and bails him out and then they form their own party and things lead from there. Samar was a character who in sense was the dark horse and who brings about unexpected change in the story. But, I would say that even his character was pretty underdeveloped and wasn't given the full chance to floorish. His transformation from a student to mass murderer is somewhat unexplained and then his decision to go back is ambiguous too. Now to Katrina kaif's indu, well I though she was given very little to work with. She barely had very little screen time, I would say her screen time was lesser than all the other actors. But, Katrina did very well in whatever that was given to her. She excelled in showing jealousy and helplessness in her eyes when Saman was wit his girl friend. She also acted well in those instances where her character was wagered by her dad so that he could invest in his damaad. I loved her speeches and thought she was earnest in those scenes. I honestly don't understand how Kat could ruin this movie for anyone though.. coz she was hardly there and whatever little was given to her she excelled in that. Ranbir was pretty good in his role, he was understated and collected and did what was requried. I wouldn't call this his best performance, coz I would say that he was the best in Rocket.. but in raajneeti he rose to the occasion and performed well admist a stellar cast, which I think is a great!
