What was the experience like? "Its one thing to read about the happenings with your morning cuppa coffee and quite another to be witnessing the damage & loss" Vivek says with heartfelt sincerity. "I was in Chennai at the village I was planning to adopt. I saw this old lady on a heap of rubble, which was her home a few hours back. She had the photo of her beloved in her hand and was weeping bitterly." Vivek recollects. "I had gone there to help, comfort and support them. But that particular moment I simply went numb. I couldn't help but cry. I realized how fragile life is" |
