holy ....crap can't believe this...

the shark scene in SOLDIER 1998 is a frame to frame copy from movie ATTANK...they couldn't get a new shark for this..

aatank was abt a shark and rip off of jaws and was a major uncredited and independent movie which had dharmendra and was a flop...

well which role-manisha's one or preity's?cz i dnt know abt Manisha's one, but preity's role wasn't offered to anyone. they simply screen tested some girls in it n preity nabbed it.(her 1st ever filmfare interview in december97 has that fact in it)

and anyway i hardly think rani was established enuf to actually have date problems by that time!!she hadnt even done KKHH!

Not true. Rani was offered over 22 movies (most of them turned out to be crappy ones, unfortunately) ever since her second film: Ghulam.

That said, I do believe Rani would not be able to do justice to Manisha's role - well, not that time, at least. Can't say the same about Preity's role, but Preity nailed her role pretty well.

Vidya Balan was sipposed to debut in Tamil movie with Madhavan which never took off> I also hear that most Tamil Directors showed her the door.

And rightfully today when she is successfull she is doing the same to those Tamil Directors.
