I watched this movie for the first time yesterday, and thought why not? Everyone I know basically loves this movie, and I wanted to see what it was about. I didn't really love it, it was alright. However, I think b/c it was something new at that time it got so big.
There are many classics out there, and we asked you guys to choose, but no one did. So if you would like to discuss a movie, please tell us your options.

What did you like about the movie (if anything at all)?
I thought it was perfect 😳

Any scene you really liked? Why?
On the terrace when Kajol unexpectedly kisses SRK and hes shocked cum elated i thut that scene was super cute!

What was your favorite song in the movie?
Na jaane mere dil ko kya ho gaya.....abhi toh yahi tha abhi kho gaya! Lyrics were apt -- performances were too good, u cud feel them falling in love!

Why do you think it's considered a classic?
Because it marked the beginning of an epic couple, it is a complete entertainer, till date if its coming on TV il miss all the daily/weekly shows and sit to watch it! And not to forget over 500 weeks and its still running in a theatre near you! ⭐️

Talk about the characters (not just Raj and Simran😛)
will edit wen i have time

i don't think there is a movie made better than mother india...and even if it so old...i would love to discuss it...
it almost got an oscar..and won so much acclaim, and i simply don't think any MOVIE CAN REACH ITS STATUS...truly a maginificent masterpiece..
mother india was also special, as it was the reason to put young sunil dutt and nargis in love when he saved her from real fire during the sets..
so when u say a 'classic' i think it can't be more classical than bruvera like mother india ..SUPERB

It worked because it was a "new" concept at that point in time. Only Sunny deol and Sunil Shetty style action movies were hitting the box offices every friday so when DDLJ came, people lost their minds.

I would hope that all those teenagers who fantasized about being in Raj/Simran's shoes have grown up and moved on. BECAUSE THIS MOVIE WAS UNREALISTIC AND STUPID. It cannot stand the test of time. It looks pretty outdated, its not a classic IDK why people think its the LBD of hindi movies.

^ Interesting. I don't think the movie would've been as big of a success it is now had SRK and Kajol not been in it.

What did you like about the movie (if anything at all)?
Loved the songs, the storyline and of course SRK and Kajol

Any scene you really liked? Why?
There are many scenes I like, but one that stands out right now is the one the morning after Kajol got drunk and we got to see a different side to SRK's character.
What was your favorite song in the movie?
Zara Sa Jhoom
Why do you think it's considered a classic?
It was a sweet and simple love story and the lead pair's chemistry was amazing!
Talk about the characters (not just Raj and Simran😛)
I liked Simran's aunt, her mom and Raj's dad. Their characters were fun to watch
  • Anything else you'd like to discuss about the movie?
It is definately one of my favorites, a film I never get tired of watching!

As for the movies for the next discussions, can't comment on either because I haven't watched them yet!

    It's relatable, I guess.

But overrated. Yash Raj, SRK, and Kajol? Enough said.
