I think this is getting out of hand. Honestly, if you ask me, it's not that big of a deal. Why shouldn't Pakistanis be allowed to play in the IPL? Because they're not from India? Even if others don't want them to participate in the IPL, I think they could have been much more kinder about it.

The line from the Sena party that gets me really mad is: 'This is not Shah Rukh...this is the Khan in him.'

Wth is that supposed to mean? That he's only supporting Paki players because he's a MUSLIM?! Please.

This is such bullfeces. The politicians just need a little attention, and we're all giving them just that!

I support SRK. India is a democracy, and everyone should be treated equally. I don't think he needs to apologize - nor should he take back the comment. He is totally right. And it's his opinion.

The political party is a bad role model/leader - promoting discrimation against Pakistan. Great going, Shiv Sena! 👏

VHP Calls for Boycott of Shahrukh Khan's Film

Toeing the line of Shiv Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad today said that people should boycott Shahrukh Khan's new film given his statement that Pakistani players could be allowed to participate in the IPL.

International General Secretary of VHP Pravin Togadia said here today without taking the name of Shahrukh's new film (My Name Is Khan) that Pakistan could not hide its role in the terror attack on Mumbai.

Shahrukh's film should be boycotted given that he has openly taken a favourable stand against those who are against India, he observed adding that the boycott or protests against Shahrukh should be peaceful.

He said if film personalities start making political statements, they should be prepared for the consequences as well.

He said terrorists continue to come to India from Pakistan and allowing any Pakistani player to come to India to play will amount to encouraging the terrorist elements. He demanded that Pakistani artists should also not be allowed to work in Indian film industry.

Referring to controversy over Mumbai , Togadia said Mumbai and Maharashtra belong to India. People from Maharashtra also are of the same opinion.. One should not make an unnecessary issue out of it, he observed.
