dear box office is directly proportional to audiences, if they like the movie so much, they will GO INTO THE THEATRES BUY TICKETS AND WATCH...just a handful of people can't salvage it at the BO

Oh then I am happy with the handful reactions and in comparing with those handful.

When Kurbaan wasnt doing well on the first two days, EVERYONE here said, its just the 2nd day...you cant judge it so fast so I am not doing that for CPD either.

I reeeeally hope it picks up!!! Even if it's not a brilliantly made movie, it seems sweet and entertaining with good performances, so hopefully families should like it!

I'm doing my bit by seeing it today! Yayaa :D

what a big deal if movie flopped...infact i was expecting so...its not the end of shahid's career , this movie's result will not effect his career ...this is what i think.....infact this movie was more important for genelia's career than shahid ....

No Chance for Chance Pe Dance?
Buzz up!

Who better than Shahid to be caste in a 'dance' film? After Jaane Tu…, numerous magazine covers and endorsements, even Genelia is hot property. But does the film or director Ken Ghosh stand a 'chance' at the box office?.

Our very own celebrity astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi gets into the 'groove' and tells us about the chances of Chance Pe Dance.

"The title 'CHANCE PE DANCE' adds up to Number 53 (8) – the symbolic representation of this number is 'grave warnings for the future'. It shows disasters brought about by others by bad speculation, partnerships, unions and advice. Going by it's meaning, the film has already lost ground," predicts Bhavikk.

He continues "Shahid is currently in his 29th year and so he will be very well appreciated for his performance and the hard work will show. There are no two ways about it! Genelia too is in her 23rd year (5th August, 1987), and so she is also likely to increase her fan following after this film, but alas – the future of the film looks too 'shaky' to me."

" The year 2010 which adds up to Number 3 does not support Number 1 at all and Shahid's compound number adds up to Number 1 (25th February 1981). Even Genelia is a Leo (ruler Sun – Number 1). The sum total of the film's release date 15th January 2010 also adds up the same number," says Bhavikk.

"All in all, the film stands no 'chance' at the ticket window," ends Bhavikk confidently.

Chance Pe Dance First Day Business

Saturday 16th January 2010 18.30 IST

Chance Pe Dance grossed a poor 2 crore nett on day one. Mumbai circuit managed best business in the 75 crore nett region.

The first day business is much lower than Shahid Kapoor's last film Dil Bole Hadippa which managed around 3.50 crore nett on day one.

The film does not have good reports so not much is expected over the weekend. There should be improvement on Sunday which may help the film do 7 crore nett over the weekend and then the week closing at around 10 crore nett.

Chance Pe Dance Opens To Dull Response

Chance Pe Dance started with dull collections this morning. The collections at multiplexes were in the 15-25% region for the first few shows.

The film can improve as the day progresses and over the weekend but early reports suggest it find it tough going at the box office.

Last week's Dulha Mil Gaya and Pyaar Impossible also could not find an audience and now Chance Pe Dance appears to be going the same leaving Three Idiots and 3D version of Avatar to dominate the box office.
