Wedding bells for Rani Mukherjee?

Maybe the Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji love story will reinforce the notion that love conquers all. As clichd as that might sound, the couple is happy that Aditya's parents have finally accepted the actress. While papa Yash had reconciled to Rani being an integral part of his son Aditya's life, mamma Pam was not too happy and maintained her distance from Rani. Who knows, the shaadi, which was rumoured to take place by the end of 2009, might finally happen now.

Rani is probably feeling relieved as parental approval usually proves to be the biggest obstacle. Pam's acceptance is probably crucial to her relationship with Aditya.

"Kab tak aisa chalta? Aakhir beta hai unka," a source close to the Chopra said.

Frankly, Pam has been softening gradually. It was only a matter of time before she gave her blessings to Rani.

The turning point probably came at a recent awards ceremony where Rani approached Yash and Pam, bowed to seek their blessings after she had completed her performance on stage. While Yash blessed her, Pam could not help smiling and giving in. Thereafter, things have been pretty smooth between the Chopras and Rani.

No prizes for guessing who is smiling the most. YRF scion, Aditya Chopra must be a relieved man.

As for Aditya's ex-wife Payal, our source says, "Payal still frequently visits YRF Studios. She and Aditya are on talking terms. Yash and Pam still love her very much. Ab bahut time ho gaya hai, things settle down with the passage of time."

Does Rani frequent YRF Studios? "No. She visits but that's strictly work-related," our source says.

Now that Aditya's private life is sorted out, hopefully he will churn out better films than the ones we have been inflicted with recently.
