Sushmita Sen adopts another girl

The grape vine was rife with speculation that Sushmita Sen had or rather would be adopting her second child. However, with no confirmation from any front, these pieces of drift news faded into oblivion.

However, last night at the press conference held for her upcoming film Dulha Mil Gaya, Sush confirmed that she has adopted another baby girl on November 19 this year, which also happens to be the actress' birthday. The doting mother has since christened the 3-month-old girl as Alisha.

With this, Sushmita has definitely put to rest all those prying questions and the rumour mills.

I respect her immensely as a woman for portraying the strength and willpower of handling two kids on her own.

I love her. I always thought she is a complete woman appearance-wise but now I feel she's even more complete in more respects. I so always wnated to adopt a child, too.

OMG the things she said towards the end almost had be crying. I have always had this wish to adopt one day and I am now at a stage in my life where I am seriously considering it. It's very sad that there are so many beautiful children out there needing a home and only a lucky few get one. Bless you Sush and your beautiful girls, if I do end up adopting I hope it's love at first sight for me too:)

i'd love to adopt one day as well...but onli wen i am at a state to financially and emotionally support the child on my own...i love sushmita for what she does for these kids..

i remember wen she picked renee...she just went to the place where all the babies were kept, and she said the name renee....and the first baby to respond to that name, she picked her...and thas how renee came to be...thats so sweet...

Adoption is a legal matter.

There was a rule that if you have already adopted a girl then you can't adopt another girl. Sushmita wanted only a girl so she waited for the court to change the rule. Finally court did and Sushmita was allowed to adopt a baby girl second time too.
