Oh, I have noticed the downfall of this place since Sanam left most notably. Then again, she was the unofficial moderator of this place and was able to get things under control when shit hit the fan.

Yes, I partially left because I felt like this was a board only for those that gushed and I felt suffocated by the monotonous nature of it all. And it just got tiresome. Haha, I talked about asking about getting my account banned for several months now since the summer. And Zainab convinced me not too. In fact, I just don't have the willpower to do it. All you have to do is PM a GM I believe.

Personally, I am not a gusher, and I felt like a freak here at times. I felt awful for what Adios has to go through for not liking Shahid. Now, I am not a fan of his/ do not really dislike though either, and the fact that some people posture for him and have to call out the one negative post critiquing him made me eye-roll.

Part of it is being pro-active, but I guess I don't really feel like investing time here any more for many of the reasons Piya(freakyy) mentions.

This post was full of rambling. But I don't understand why people have to go and get personal, telling someone to get a life or not comment on a topic if their viewpoint is not acceptable to a majority. Even before my self-imposed exile, I tried not to stir the pot too much because I did not really feel like defending myself when I had no ulterior motives.

Hallelujah. I feel the same way Nimmi but you do a much better way of laying it out with proper words.

Nobody is asking anyone to leave, but rather requesting to let the 'cynics' post freely once in a while without bashing them significantly in your fan club or chat club. FC and whatnots are already there to gush over Shahid's abs and ass lifters; girls can go go gaga over PC's sexy lips and wigs in the designated forum as well; Deepika and her beauty can be admired significantly amongst fans at the FC; Sonam can be praised for her photoshoots as well within that space. But golly, do not form freaking clicks on the forum and dial up 911 to call upon your e-friends to fight off the negative cult. If you cannot defend your action at an online forum, then I pity you because the real world is harsh and cruel. Get out of the herd mentality. Yes, of course, the negative cult will be blamed again for scaring away the masoom fans and shoo-ing them away, but in reality this topic was created not for that purpose, but to know the reason why folks are on an exile.

@terenaina: I like Deepika for her charisma/attitude though it does not mean she does not need to work on her acting skills, but I think Flaviya had a point in the topic about where Deepika made a fool of herself talking about not being in more mainstream films does not make someone a good actress. And she did have to unecessarily explain herself there for a long time if you remember. I haven't read every single topic here in the last 2 months though so there.

Anyways, that is what I feel. And I have seen some Deepika fans not take criticism in the right light, and I don't understand why the topic has to be about if you are a Kareena fan, which I am. Or that I like Sonam for her fashion sense and I like the fact that she reads stuff by Sylvia Plath more than Ayn Rand, which is more popular in India for some reason.

You get what I am saying that we are all freaking biased. And not everyone is going to agree with what we say. Sometimes fans overreact, and Desu has said she has gotten over getting worked up over criticism. There is nothing wrong with having a bit of a thick skin and posting now is there? But yes, when the majority support a certain actor it is easier for criticism to get muffled.

@Aneesha: I am actually on good terms with both Riya and Desu. They are not the problem and still get along well. They are both some of my favorite members and actually are both people I happen to be quite close to on I-F.

I think its sad that many users have left.
Although I don't know anyone personally in the Bollywood Section and am more of a silent reader, posts by psychobalehead (that's Flaviya, right?), adios, and zainab25 stood out to me. Again, I don't know who they are, but I loved reading their posts, regardless of whether I agreed with them or not.
What sucks when someone gets banned is that you cannot read any of their old posts. So many beautiful moments of wit masked by that dumb red sign.
I agree with someone else, that Daniel_Radcliff's posts remind me a lot of zainab25's posts. Again, I didn't know her, but as a rather silent reader I can say that your posts read exactly like hers did.

I was speaking to desu not you. This is the problem of the forum. Attacking members. Yes one member did mention that the reason why adios left was being too many shahid-deepika fans drooling over them.

I thought you said your post, 6 posts ago, was your last. This is what I mean by the fake self-pitying.

I wasn't attacking any member, I was standing up for my friend. Desu is a very close friend and if fans can stand up for their favorite celebrity, I can stand up for my friend, right?

ONE member mentioned someone left because of the excessive Shahid/Deepika drooling, their fans decided to GANG up and fight with the whole forum and turn this topic around. That's what the "non groupies" are talking about. Exactly this.

Ok, I ditn ask ANYONE to leave, and I dont think anyone wnats anyone to leave.I just wanted to know what in teh world happened to Adios and if someone had talked ot her prior to her leave.

But obvoiusly a lot of pent up frustration bubbled up in teh process, which I think was long overdue.
I'd rather everythign comes out right now rather than members packing up and leaving liek Flav and Adios did.
I'm desperately hoping that Sanam's leave is only temporary because she's too busy with her family. Zainab, wherever you are, you're not leaving.
I'd rather this place sort these issues out adn come to a logical conclusion rather than just crumble.
