I really liked most of the songs from Khamoshi but my fav is probably this one, Baahon ke darmiyaan... why can't Jatin-Lalit work together anymore?! they gave us some great tunes!

Awesome topic. Though I'm not going to get into it, I would like to say that I prefer modern day beats, and old school lyrics.

For example, "hand pump" and "chewing gum" (taken from DBH) are lame, and so is "love mera hit hit" or whatever it is, (taken from Billu Barbar) I mean, they couldn't think of another phrase to describe love instead of using "hit hit"? I despise those type of lyrics. However, the music and beat specifically isn't too bad.

Lyrics form old songs, "bahoo ke darmiyaan, do pyaar mil rahe hain" for example, are so much better and sweeter to listen to!

This is one great topic. As someone who does not listen to Hindi songs often, I was really moved by some of the songs.
The ones that I really loved in the olden days from Padosein (Sunil Dutt)...enjoyed every song from that movie!

As a kid when I'd watch Reena Roy's movies, I would cry whenever she would not get the kid. Most of the movies I had seen of hers was where she'd die, or would lose out on the guy. I'd sit there and cry, and ask my mom why did the other girl come, now she will stay alone. Lol....

only a few modern song make sense and sound really good other wise most of them dont make any sense..!

like TANDOORI NIGHT...? tht not music tht just a song tht was need to add in a movie...! and it sound good with the beat

i guess bolywood lost it tocuh in most thing esp music, movies arent tht bad we see tahm all the time, but music it changes a lot !

haha i like tandoori nights just becoz of urmila, otherwise that song is rubbish
