but to tell u guys my mother she doesnt listen to oldies only if she was an old movie or soo, she listen to teh modern love song liek from APKGK those kind, all the Shahid ones ( i get her to listen to it so she like the ones i liek and can play then on repeat when were in the car lolz)

@fary: i knoww i would say out of 500 song fromt eh pas 3-5 years, there are atleast 50-100 good songs that make sense and sound good!

@ pshyso: i know the decade is goign wrong in music!

im in my teens and listening to oldies which more teens dont do, hey listen to those hip hop rock indian song that dotn make sense.!

i guess all the good music singer and music directer left soo we got nothing good !

modern indian music dont have that TOUCH anymore..

liek for me when i listen to oldies they would touch my soul, i understand the pain or soo, and it related to me, or someone in my life.!

and a few modern ones does teh same, 1 of the top of my head is Tu Jaane Na..! when i listen to it it just touches me and im completely lost in some other world.

i can see day by day indian music if going BLAHHH, and it losing its touch as the music composer have no idea on wht lyrics to write for movies so they come up with TANDOORI NIGHT!

i can listen to bebo, but tandoori night, it doesnt make sense!

exactly i love tu jaane na because it has a meaning attached to it it's just not to fill in the space and it's one good song but it's 1 in a 100 if u listen to rd burman or laximkant pyarelal or kalyan ji anand ji all songs r just so so so damn good

I agree today's music has no repeat value. Sometimes I think a song is good but then I listen to it again after a couple of months I find it bleh. There are a few good ones in between tho. In the earlier days tho there were a lot of good songs in any given year in the 70's and 80's and to an extent the 90's - but in this decade you have a lot of mediocre stuff and then a very few good songs.
One of my faves is " Pal Pal dil ke Pas tum rehete ho"

Old songs are such a calming factor in my life.

I have a lot of in my collection, right now Humraaz ke gaane are on.

90% of the music on my IPOD is filled with old music! i dnt even believe in the name of music wat these days r made r exactly " music" .. it is al abt rythm and beats.. no melody ..no soul

i hav plenty of songs from 60/70s era which i m fond of , i m an old soul lol . so cant name rite now , giv me sme time i wil b bc with my list..

rd burman is my fav music director of al time
