So, u mean,shajid was the "rebound effect"for bebo,she fell for his dance moves,for him being the next "so-like" hrithik😛

i think,she saw him and had a crush,fell in love with shahid,n then broke up later.i doubt its related to the hrithik factor,i think a person can fall in love more than once.

Riya timing is crucial. I doubt she still feels the same way today for hrithik that she felt back in 2003, when seh saw shahid. When it was still fresh.

If I wanted, I could have jumped in the topic "Shahid in NYC" when suddenly saif was being discussed and his fan interactions. I coudl have said, "leave saif out of this".

But I didnt. Coz its not up to me. I dont have a monopoly on saif.

All these actresses did know Harman from the beginning. Harman is older than Shahid, too. PC and Kareena knew him since like forever. Anyways, I just felt that drawing a connection between Shahid and Hrithik was ODD. So for four and half years she was with him cuz he reminded her of Hrithik. Even saying that she liked Hrithik cuz of his dancing skills was weird. Anywho.

Did you SEE how harman used to look back in teh day?

He lost kilos before his debut.

This is so pointless. I'm saying something else, you all are making into something entirely different.

Let me say this ONE LAST TIME.

Kareean was rejected.

She was obsesed over a guy for 2 or so years. It ended horribly, he never felt the same way. SHe's heartbroken.

Around the same time (2003) promos for Ishq Vishq start to air. Shahid becomes a frenzy. He comes iwht all the promises that hrithik came with. Good looks, good actor, succesful debut, promise of being the next superstar, and yes a GOOD dancer.

Its NOT entirely impossible that kareena would unconsciencely be attracted to those qualities because of the similarities with Hrithik.

And did love him for that reason? NO

That's not what rebounds necesarily entail. But that coudl be responsible for catching her attention. How many new comers debut? HOw often did she magically fall in love with a guy she didnt even KNOW through a PROMO?

She comes across as someone who goes all gung-ho about whatever she feels. So while another person in her position might have developed a crush on Shahid and just left it at that, she decided to pursue it whole-heartedly. I don't think her falling for Shahid has anything to do with him being like Hrithik - and apart from the dancing I really don't see very many similarities.

And shahid was ONE reference. Mentioned him in ONE point. I'm done with him in this topic. My experiences on IF with mentioning shahid have always ended with bad taste. Regarless of wht context I intend.

This is about HRITHIK and Kareena. So right now, I will gladly take him out of context.

About the Hrithik and Kareena thing - she obviously had feelings for him. And from Kareena's statements and reactions it seems like what to someone might feel like a 10 on an intensity scale for her is a 10000.

So even though she knew he was commited she still developed feelings, and ended up disappointed when she realised nothing was happening with Hrithik. Their interactions afterwards and his response to the problems between PC and Kareena on KWK sort of confirm that.

How she dealt with it - I am not sure.

That wasn't my implication. But saying that she initially fell for both these guys because they were touted to be superstars, or because they had great dancing skills makes her seem shallow. I could understand if the similarities were more deep - like their personalities were somewhat similar . But what you are saying seems like a stretch and yes shallow.

I think maybe Kareena did subconsciously get attracted to Shahid due to the few similarities he had with Hrithik. But you don't have a rebound for as long as 4 & a 1/2 years.... No sir,.... I think she may have gotten attracted to Shahid due to the Hrithik factor, but she fell for Shahid on his own merit. Otherwise how can you explain that she was a couple with him for almost 5 years? It just doesn't add up!
