That was... kinda bland. Did anyone else notice Ranbir's lack of expressions here (or is it just my chamkeeli ankhein?)

On top of being a salesman (who are supposed to be quite animated), he is a punjabbi salesman (who are supposed to be quite animated).

this was more like yadiyada. yadiyada. yadiyada. dance.

instead of Yadiyada! Yadiyada!! Yadiyada!. dance

kya ranbirrr. 😕

He is a Punjabi salesman, so I am assuming the director wants the audeince to connect with his character, but how can one manage that if the character himself and in this case its Ranbir fails miserably while attempting?

No change in the dialogue delivery. He's talking as if he's asking some girl out, and not persuading the audience to buy the product.

I just recently watched Rab ne... and its Punjabi Suri again, so maybe that's also making it very obvious, but Ranbir's accent is so not Punjabi at all. I hope it isnt like this in the movie...

Hmmm I watched it again and I guess I wasn't paying too much attention the last time but it is kind of blah. And it is really odd that a Sardar doesn't have a Punjabi accent in a YRF film when they do that all the time (in an extremely over the top fashion) in their other films. 🤔

Sardars who live outside predominantly Punjabi areas I have met do have a more neutral accent but it does kind of sound like Ranbir Kapoor from Bachna Ae Haseeno just with a beard and a turban - which really doesn't work.
